norwichfox Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 Ahhh...it warms the cockles of my heart to read such things...or should that be it warms the heartles of my Co?? Really pleased we made them feel so welcome, I hope they are as warm to our travelling fans.
Fox42 Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 To be fair to them about the beer comment, they are from the land of Carlsberg so fair enough...
promised land Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 I thought I was going around the bend as I'd read all the article before, it's old news from last week dated 18th, I'm sure it's been up on here already.
Oxshottfox Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 Compared to Copenhagen I am afraid Leicester does not compete. spent a while living there and it is a wonderful city with very friendly people and beaches on your doorstep. And the women.... oh the women... they are magnificent with a great sense of humour. the Finns are taciturn and massive drinkers, the swedes are snobs and the Norwegians are just the arabs of Scandinavia. Denmark wins hands down for welcome
Drew Peacock Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 Beer Cheap....Everyone Friendly....Girls lovely. So to repay the favour. We know the beer ain't cheap there and I'm not bothered about EVERYONE being friendly. But if all 3 of the above things apply to the girls over there, I'll take a draw in the game and a good time will very much still have been had.
Foxxed Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 I've been to Copenhagen. Perhaps we could arrange some kind of swingers party but with cities deal?
Raj Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 Is it true they got free food at Jubilee Square? Of it is true they better have some free food for us! And a Fecking VEGGIE OPTION TOO!!!

MPH Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 Best place he has ever been to Although to be fair to him, he probably mean it in the context of lots of beer, friendly faces , easy to get to stadium and..well... i suppose alot of women look great after a few beers dont they?
Vardinio'sCat Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 Nice to see the city making efforts to welcome fans who have come so far, and that welcome being appreciated. Leicester is not a s**thole, and it saddens me to read posters say that.
Aus Fox Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 Young Oliver definitely got laid while in Leicester. So what more could you ask for, beer, football and a bit of action. For a young lad on school exchange I couldn't imagine life gets any better.
China Black Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 Great to hear nice things said about our city and its people!!!

Guest Lako42 Posted 26 October 2016 Posted 26 October 2016 Leicestershire folk and Yorkshire folk are on opposite ends of the home appreciation scale. Shame, we could learn a thing or two about showing some pride.

Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 27 October 2016 Posted 27 October 2016 On a serious note confirmed by several posts here, I have never come across a city like Leicester for talking itself down. That is a great pity as it has some tremendous assets as a place and people and I reckon detrimental to attracting business etc as a city and even the football club when it comes to signings. Visited Manchester and Nottingham (wash my mouth out with soap) on the last two days and the civic pride in both is on a different level. Where I live Cardiff now has a real pride in itself that is different to 20 years ago. There is being self-deprecating and modest and there's being damaging. Glad to hear Copenhagen fans enjoyed themselves and had great welcome. For those looking for great beer, drink some Everards instead of shit like Carling etc.! Rant over.

Carlsberg in Copenhagen is different class, nicer than Carlsberg export over here, very nice larger indeed. Although as everyone on here is now aware you buy it on draft you'll be paying a lot for it. Quite why we have to suffer the watered down piss weak cat piss tasting 3.2% foulness is a little beyond me.

You cant beat Xmas day and new years day walk on the beach. Best hangover cure going. yes I took myself out of Leicester but no one or anything will ever take the Leicester out of me.
foxy boxing Posted 27 October 2016 Posted 27 October 2016 really pleasing that they enjoyed their stay here and am glad the city made them feel welcome hopefully all visiting fans will feel the same way after all we all have something in common, we love football and can all appreciate how us and other clubs got here

fox in the sox Posted 27 October 2016 Posted 27 October 2016 Surely there are mingers and non-mingers in all cities.
