Would like to see the East stand extended, perhaps some of the restructuring could incorporate space for a home for the new walk exhibition (the football one, not mummies and dinosaurs). We could try and claim funding from national heritage sources claiming it has national and international appeal! Would ideally prefer the biggest stand in ground to be the one which houses the dressing rooms / tunnel / benches (west) but not very practical in our case.

No expansion yet.

Stadium rocks, moves, sways with 32,000 in. Plenty enough for us and one of the Prem's best atmospheres.

Maybe think about it in 2-3 years time

Top teased us on Vickie Park but it's all gone quiet. Perhaps something to do with the purchase of the long building behind the East Stand.

Got a feeling this is still the long term plan. Pretty sure Top said "who thinks we need a new stadium?" with a massive grin on his face! Don't think we'll even plan it for a few years but can see it happening in the next 10.

Owners seem dead set on making us a team that can consistently challenge for CL places. If they are it means that we'd have to match other teams around those positions in terms of match day revenue and worldwide exposure.

Would love to see it happen and given how smart our owners are I can actually see it happening!

Looking forward to seeing you all at the New King Power on Filbert Street against Real Madrid with manager Wes Morgan and assistant Huth in 2026 with Director of Football / Club Ambassador Ranieri sitting next to Top in the executive box.

I've completely changed my mind on this one. I don't think its necessary at all.

A few plastics being unable to get tickets for the last few home games of a season where we're chasing the title doesn't warrant whacking an extra 8000 seats in. The fact that we're not completely full for games this season in league and CL proves that. We'd never fill a 40k ground, we just don't have enough fans willing to come to games. The only way we'd have a chance is if the ticket prices came down, but I think we all know that wouldn't happen.

How hard do you actually try? You can always get one from somewhere.

Match day day revenue isn't as important these days.  The vast majority of income comes from elsewhere. Plus larger stadium might lower demand for tickets therefore lowering prices overall.  Maybe a larger stadium and bigger crowds could attract better players....but I'm not sure, its usually down to how much they're getting paid.

If the expansion includes a large boost in corporate facilities then maybe it could happen.

Won't be needed.

When the plastics/tourists get bored of us and go back to following ManU/Liverpool Chelsea, 32k will be ample enough!

Double decker Kop would so amazing and would be a nod to Filbert Street, but it seems like most people want us to just be like everyone else as per lol

Could even be an expanded East and Kop together, that has potential, but I think we'd be looking at nearer the figure of 45k if that were to happen.

Then we've just gone from having a blue version of St Mary's to having a blue version of the Stadium of Light.

Its gone quiet because its quite clear we don't need an expansion.

We don't sell out most games despite what the club says.

Build and they will come.

We were selling out when we barely won a game for six months in 2014/15.

Season Tickets are restricted and members are prohibited to upgrade to season tickets because there isn't the capacity. I know of loads of people who can't go or can't take their kids because they think every game is a sell out.

There are a lot of barriers to getting into a game for fans who aren't season ticket holders and the more barriers you make then the less people will bother. If we had a 50,000 stadium this season then we'd probably be getting 45,000+. It's all very well people like you saying we don't need a bigger stadium just because you probably have a season ticket and see the odd empty seat. There are dozens of examples of clubs not filling their current ground and moving to a new stadium only to find thousands of extra fans.

I know we've technically not sold out today but the few tickets that are available are at £65 which for a TV game against West Brom is pretty damn good.

If we were to expand the East Stand would be the one  but, after allowing a couple of thousand more STH's are they just going to create more 'premium' seats which we'll struggle to sell on a game by game basis.

You do realise if you do not have a season ticket your Plastic. As I am not living in the area and not being able to justify a season ticket means my life long support means Jack. It seems my years of support going home and away when we were shite under the likes of Pleat mean nothing. If I decide to spend a weekend back in Leicester tuff fvcking look I am no longer welcome by some of our fans.

Starting to think we should have a clear out of the attitudes and fill the ground with plastics. Some of the selfish bollox people spout on here is ridiculous and starting to think last season has done us no favours what so ever.

Let's expand so that we can get as many fickle 'instafans' as possible.

Think of how loud we could boo when the boys don't perform as expected.

Slowly slowly, turning into the anti Leicester

You're a football snob with a complete lack of ambition for your club. We're a closed shop at the minute, more people want season tickets than what are available (23,000) and there are limits on memberships. We sold out when we could barely win a game in our first season back in the PL.

You might like to call people "plastics" because they weren't going in the days we were in League One or a struggling Championship side but every club has these type of fans. If we had a stadium that could fill our needs the new 10,000+ "plastic" fans might end up becoming hardcore. A bigger stadium and bigger crowds improves our reputation in the game as a bigger and ambitious club which helps attracts players and sponsorship.

If we are happy as a club to accept that our long term place in English football is a struggling PL club who aspire to mid table then that's where we'll end up if we're lucky. At some point our new found fame and wealth will be squandered and I would like to see the club invest it's future with a bigger stadium and profile which is something that will last for decades and put us ahead of the mid range clubs like Southampton, etc. We could find ourselves in the Championship in a few years, skint and wondering what we did with all the money.

We could end up in the Championship with a bigger stadium that we can't fill, that would do our rep no end of good.

Organic growth is better, both financially and for security of future rather than increasing because it looks good.

We can't sell out many games already, next season people will be able to pick up season tickets as people don't renew (already heard people saying they wont) now that we aren't  beating West Brom with absolute ease.

Maybe we will sell more season tickets, but I think people over estimate the demand, especially if we have an indifferent season.

Can this be fantasy?

Extended but single tiered Kop with a new roof, Filbert Street double decker replicated at the other end, East Stand the same and a main stand a bit like the one at Goodison Park without the top tier.

If we're talking realistic, it should be on the East Stand and the design needs to be simple and old fashioned. Also it MUST have it's own roof. We need to get a way from the awful symmetrical look our stadium has.

Hopefully it will look a little like Elland Road which is still one of the best looking grounds around and would be fairly easy to achieve:

You lost me at the elland road one of the best looking grounds bit.

what a hole.

The club needs league standing stability before thinking about constructing bigger stands.

There's not much point in increasing it if we're fluctuating outside the top 5 and not achieving much that would attract more people to get tickets.

Especially in the current league competition situation.

Yes, look at Liverpool never won anything for ages yet still their fans are very loyal and expanded their own patch and can see success on the horizon.

But Leicester's league situation is less sweet as we're struggling to adapt to extra games due to CL.

Ok I'll bite,

empty seats last last night in the ground, as far as I know it wasn't classed as a sell out.

If you have a membership how do you struggle to get tickets?

Or are you just after going half a dozen times to the games against the big guns?

Have all 3 of the champions league games been classed as sell outs?

Still o could be wrong and every game this season has sold out on which I apologise but I'm sure they haven't.
