Ricey Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Give him the rest of the season off, let Shakey keep us up, bring Claudio back and sack off the over-paid players with no fire in their bellies. Simple.
bridport007 Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Just now, HankMarvin said: The writing was on the wall when Fuchs covered him twice in Champagne, probably a lovely old bloke, but doesn't command respect and the players probably feel above him That is a good point. I thought at the time that Claudio looked shocked and was not happy with Fuchs. It was too matey.

Volpe Viola Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 You have to cut through the emotion. Sadly this year Huth and Morgan haven't been good at what they're good at. How many times has It been pointed out that they've lost the guy they're supposed to be marking. As Robbie Savage said in the 2014/15 season before Pearson reverted to a back 3. "Championship defending gets you relegated".
Mike Oxlong Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Working hard is nothing without strategy, quality, bravery and unity.

He's had months to change it. You could see in pre season we needed a change in tactics and personnel. Then as the season progressed and we started getting smashed by teams, this change became critical. Claudio didn't do anything and just hoped, and he's been hoping ever since. We aren't a skillful team, therefore we need to become a nasty one that leaves their foot in and makes the centre of the park a battlefield. At the moment we're to easy to play against with our players escorting the opposition into our penalty area without making a tackle. Our tackle stats are diabolical. Can he do this, I very much doubt it. Great post.

I don't understand how Fuchs, Huth and co. can be so shit in the space of a few months though - in May they were treated like footballing Gods by us, and were playing brilliantly... 4 months later and its as though they aged about 10 years.

Ranieri has put SO much faith in these players, who after all won him a Premier League title. He feels he owes them a chance. A chance to show last season wasn't a fluke, that they are good players who can step up....unfortunately they are proving they are the exact opposite...the stars, the galaxies the way the wind blew last season made this bunch if journeyman average players take the biggest prize in world domestic foitball....now they are back to their normal limits. I feel for Claudio, I love him...but PLEASE stop believing in them and change, for your OWN benefit! Could this be the reason we didn't sign anybody perhaps?

Volpe Viola Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 On Tuesday nights under the lights we're playing Brentford, we're playing Wolves the relegation it will not phase us As we go to follow the blues.

TeamRocket Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 It is a real shame but thank you and good bye. I never expected us to repeat last season at all didnt even think will finish top 6 and didnt expect us to do well in champ league but all i was expecting was a few win few draws and few losses i would have been happy finishing 12th in the league. But this lcfc has no fire and we went from fearless to being scared to do anything. Just hope he goes with his head held high and say sorry but i dont think i can do it.

This is the first time in his tenure here that he hasn't fed us a load of shit. He's gone a hell of a long time without criticising his team. Maybe he is now thinking shit or bust and thinking of putting Amartey (for Simpson), Benny (for Huth) and Chilwell (for Fuchs) into the defence for the next 3 games. Sort the defence out and the rest begins to click IMO. Better if he gets it right late than never. Still in two cup competitions. Not relegated yet. Come on! This feels like the Hull game a couple of seasons ago. That turned into a turning point. This will too (hopefully!)
MattCan Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 The rise and fall of a group of 11 players in ONE season. Unbelievable. It's as inexplicable as last year's title.

Guest Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Take out simpson, fuchs, huth, drinkwater, mahrez and vardy. Then let's see what happens. At least we'll know. Tske the punt Don!
m4DD0gg Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Probably already mentioned but http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38951901 Bit late now....this 100% shows that he is neither being professional nor has a bloody clue.
lgfualol Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Shame our Liverpool game is so far away. I want to see these changes asap in the league.

Yep, would be nice to see some fringe players actually fight for their places rather than the old guard ballsing up again
NeilLCFC Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Not buying into any of this rubbish about it being the players fault, money gone to their heads etc. A lot of our squad have been here since the championship and when managed correctly, they have given their all for this club. By CR's own addmission, the players managed themselves last season. They are shite now cos Claudio has started to do things his own way, the guy is completely clueless and this translates in our performance. Its not just the players that have lost faith in Ranieri, it's the backroom staff as well, Walsh left as a result! CR has ripped apart years of hard work, ripped apart everything that made us special as a club and destroyed our identity. Even when we were bottom of the league for months, everything from our determination and fight to the way we handled transfers made us special, now we're no different to Sunderland or Stoke. Last season was the result of someone else's work and years of planning and this season is down to one person: Claudio Ranieri. the man is a complete fraud.
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Has he gone yet? Just woken up this morning to see the same stuff. The Doctor still appears to be making out all the blame lays with the players, a lot of people are advocating we play this our second team for the rest of the season and Ranieri is still smiling and saying we'll be fine. Its like Groundhog Day.

I don't hate him in the slightest. Just feel like he was given far too much credit for last season and never believed he was the man to move us forward this season and sadly I was right. I was slated on here many times but I spotted the cracks months ago and wanted him gone to avoid being in the situation we are currently in.
