Deano79 Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Should keep Claudio. And sack all the players. Put the under 23s in for rest of season.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Position is untenable for me. Has to go. Wish it didn't come to this but is needed right now. He'll take us down. I do blame the players too but unfortunately he pays the price. We've seen the same at Chelsea last year. Just looks clueless and unable to change anything. Doesn't know his best team. Doesn't give others a chance. Sticks with same old shit. Sorry Claudio. Please resign. Even his interviews have become bull shit. Just don't even understand what he's on about
Guest Col city fan Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 The man gave the club its biggest ever achievement. He'll be etched into all things LCFC forever. Our kids (if you have any) will be walking through the KP some day in the future, will look up and see photos and pictures of Ranieri and the Premiership winning squad. Legend. BUT...we are LCFC. We aren't Claudio Ranieri. For the good of the club and, as importantly, himself now, he should do the right thing and resign, thus leaving the door open for some tough bloke to come in and to sweep through our disgusting squad with a stiff brush. Willy pullers, the lot of em.

He keeps picking them though. Not sure if there are other forces in play that are forcing him to do it but they have to be dropped. I really thought he might do that. Perhaps if it wasn't such an important game to gamble such a bold move he might have done, but if he had and we'd also lost with what could be perceived as not our top 11 he would be digging a hole for himself as well. Dropping players to get a reaction needed to come before now. Now every game we don't win ... every game we don't score ... it's going to make our task that little bit harder. Something has to happen to stop the rot though.
LCFC FOX Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 He won't be sacked until after Sevilla away. If we go there and get beat then that'll be the nail in the coffin

Very good point. I remember posting on here after our equaliser against Middlesbrough that it wouldn’t do us any favours because it made it that much easier to defer taking a very difficult decision

I don't care if we come 17th by a point (I won't say goal difference as I expect ours to be shocking soon unless we remember how to score). Whether CR stays or not, we need to change what happens on the pitch in a big way and the change needs to come fast!

Yeah I know and it's out of either blind loyalty or because of something we can't see behind the scenes. Pearson did it for most of 14/15 season. That's why I think the problem with the players can only be solved with a new manager, Ranieri owes it to Vardy, Morgan etc to pick them. A new manager does not.

Nope I'm pretty sure Sunday is the start of the week He won't be going until he walks himself. Millwall and Seville might put another couple of nails in the Coffin but don't hold your breath people.
Thracian Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 There are so many lessons we need to learn from this season if we're ever to become a genuinely big club.
FLAN Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Can't change the name on flight ticket without a fee so he stays until Sevilla
foxfan92 Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 It's okay though CR knows what's wrong:- "Ranieri highlights two problems with Leicester's miserable season Champions Leicester City suffered a blow in their battle against relegation by losing to Swansea City, leaving Claudio Ranieri frustrated. Under-pressure Claudio Ranieri says Leicester City have two major problems – they are conceding goals and cannot score at the other end." Hopefully he'll have both sorted before the next game then.

Ditto We have to much concentrate ..... yep get that For thirty five minuuutes we play well crossing into box then they have one shot goal two shots two goals.
HoustonFox Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Biggest worry was him, Vardy and Drinkwater all saying in the interviews: "we need to keep trying and working hard like we are now" NO! They need to say, "something has to change, we will work to do that and things as they are, are not working" Players saying that may be a little hopeful but give us something, Claudio... 10 minutes ago, LCFC FOX said: He won't be sacked until after Sevilla away. ZeGuy Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Might as well stick with him. I sincerely don't know how a new manager would turn thing around in such a short time. This team is abolutely nosediving, "Das Boot" style.

Look we let one goal in against burnley and two against swansea... not ideal. But in neither match did we score at the other end. Its creating and finishing that is the biggest problem. I know we all feel that the back four needs a spingclean.... but its the failure to score that worries me most

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 His loyalty to his players will be his downfall, they obviously don't give a damn about him.

I'm not sure Huths performances have been spineless, he was never a ball playing defender but his interceptions and muscle were class but all that seems to have gone, similar with Morgan, Vardy is not putting in 100% imo and needs to be dropped. Simpson doesn't deserve too much criticism, fuchs has his mind in the US and drinkwater suffering a lack of confidence and needs to be dropped. Ranieri keeps admitting he's made a mistake, wrong formation, wrong players, too much trust. The players aren't going to respect that I think. They could even bring in a manager who may be willing to manage the final 13 games with Ranieri on the understanding he steps down at the end of the season. That would be perfect scenario for me, that way he keeps the respect he deserves.

By the time they started playing it on the ground it was the second dhalf and the match was already lost

He said in the press conference that things have to change. Something along the lines of "he's given players a chance because of what happened last year. 1 chance 2 chance 3 chance but no more" Think that means arivederci to a few players. Can see him making changes towards the end of this one. Sorry its on SwansTV Looks like the penny has finally dropped
