President Trump & the USA

Recommended Posts

This man is a disgrace. It is time that the UK cuts its ties with the USA and stop acting as their poodle. Time for the government to show some balls.

But no, it seems our Prime Minister is just as racist as he is by accepting his state visit.

Cut all ties with the USA because they elected a president you don't like? No talks no trade and probably the end of us being able to afford things like the NHS because you don't like a guy who might be out of office in less than 36 months? Insane.

Racists aren't always wrong either, despite our desire for them to be - Ian Smith said in a famous BBC interview Mugabe would rule for 30 years, imprison opponents and lead his country to poverty for all. He was spot on no matter how hard it is to admit.

Britain First are vile but if you are more concerned about a retweet rather than the content of the tweet you are part of the problem.

This is nonsense, unless you're an Ostrich you're probably aware that there's an issue with Islamic extremism that needs combatting. Two of the three video's have been verified as having nothing to do with Islamic extremism. This is a man with a crazy amount of power and coverage giving air time to a group in a foreign country that he knows causes division and fractures in our society, which he probably knows has inspired a man to kill a member of our parliament. It's calculated and it's evil, pure evil and the sooner this lunatic gets impeached, the better.

We should have no association with this racist of a President. He is toxic.

Yes and no. World leaders, including May, should not pander to him, they should call his nonsense out and remind him of the decorum a statesman should act with, but you were talking about, in essence, putting an embargo on one of the biggest economies in the world, because he's a tool - a completely disproportionate response

I do feel a bit sorry for May in this situation and that Sajid Javid tweet isn’t particularly helpful.

To be honest, we all want her to go hell fire on Trump but deep down, we all know and can very well accept that she can do absolutely nothing at this moment except say something incredibly meek and diplomatic.

Trump’s presidential reign will go down as one of the most bizarre in history.  At the start I thought he should get the benefit of the doubt but from day 1, all he’s done is treat being president as a massive ego trip.

His state visit is going to be slightly chaotic I feel. lol

I’ll be fairly annoyed after this debacle if the invite is not withdrawn.

State visits are an honour not a right.

Without getting all ‘Love Actually’ about this we should be prepared to stand up to bullies and be stronger. The rest of the world will respect us for doing so as well.

Sadly this is pretty much spot on. Though he may be a buffoon and some of those in his legislature and cabinet flat-out nasty (far worse than he is), the US isn't the man in charge right now and we owe them too much to be able to turn our backs without it really hurting. It's just unfortunate that they are stuck with him for the time being.

Presidents change...America not Trump is our friend...

No state visit.  Maybe sometime next year a low-key invitation....

He makes a state visit, you guarrantee  unrest, unnecessary Violent Police -demonstrator clashes,

those being in not just London but other UK cities. No its not worth it.The man hasnt earnt the right,

either respect, or even the bad press...

Why put police, organisers, UK politicians who dont support his office, under unnecessary hypocritical positions.

A Uk government who supports the visit and guarranteed unrest dont deserve the electorates trust....

Hey have a quickie.....Referendum for Trexit. We have a custom office that deny entrance to undesirables

and it is a criminal offence to allow fraudulent office to be recognised....

He should totally be allowed to visit, just so long as the British public are allowed to make their feelings clear on this and he's not just heliported from one engagement to another.

Way I see it if he does come they'll have no choice but to do that.

I think it’s a golden opportunity for May to show a bit of backbone. Withdraw the invitation and tell trump to do one. We wouldn’t be turning out back on America, we’d be turning our back on trump. Most of the more influential Americans would respect us for it as would most of the rest of the world.

Unfortunately Theresa has already stumbled her way through quite a pitiful media Q&A session so it’s too late for her to act decisively, but it’s not too late for her to make the right decision.

That knob cheese hasn't even come to Canada and we are his neighbours. In fact us and mexico are their biggest, closest friends and he doesn’t give 2 shites about coming here  (which is fine by me).

Its customary  for all usa presidents to go to canada and to mexico first. Most of the time they come here first but whatever. I mean its not a huge deal but odd to say the least.

A list of countries he has gone to before us..

Instead, Trump opted to travel first to Saudi Arabia. Then he went to Israel. Then Palestine. Then Italy, the Vatican, Poland, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and, most recently, the Philippines.

Maybe he can choose to never come that would be great. Or just deny him entry at the border lol

How he is entitled to a state visit to England is a joke especially after his tweets.

This country has always prentended it is more morally righteous than any other but the facts are there for all to see. This big uproar just because he tweeted these videos.. how about addressing what is in these videoes rather than going on a rampage against whoever posted them? We can all see the real problem

Oh, go on then, don't just hint at it, tell us what you think "the real problem" is.
