He was screaming at Vardy to not chase down opponents yet when Vardy returned to normal last night without this restrictive instruction he is deemed to have been a lazy traitor who hadn't been trying? ... and thats just from our own fans!!!

Honestly not, I've misinterpreted maybe but I spotted it earlier this season and questioned whether Jamie had a niggling injury as Claudio was shouting "Jamie No!" at him when he went to charge someone down. Maybe it was injury related or maybe he was concerned that he was going to foul but he was having this ongoing dialogue with Vardy which would make sense if he was contradicting instructions.

He would getvin a strop when he'd closed down only to realise no-one else had backed him up.

This definitely did happen, can't remember who it was against, but it was near the beginning of the season

Some woman saying she is "ashamed" to be a Lecester fan after last night. Now Five Live are asking if our players should be "ashamed of themselves"? That woman needs to take her face for a shit.
coolhandfox Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 No problem with this, it's seems to motivate the players!

Couldn't have been 'trying' very hard. Fact of the matter is is that at our worst we are only 15th in the Premier League. Scary to think where we'd be if we played to our strengths every week. We've got to have the most underrated group of players in the history of football. Just a group of average players says Paul Merson, yeah righto mate. Because average players do win Premier League titles. I'm loving all this bad publicity in truth as it motivates the boys to do what they did to Liverpool last night, long may it continue. Jamie Carragher won us the Hull game last night, top man. Exactly, boils my blood when I hear cvnts like carra & Owen say we're an ordinary team with average players. We walked the PL, lost 4 times in 47 league games.
EGBFitness Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Last week it was the whole of Leicester is a disgrace. Win last night and players are snakes and let the fans down for apparently by trying all season. Wonder what will will come after the Hull game. Youd think theyd concentrate on their own teams cause it's getting boring
thlcfc93 Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 I don’t usually post on here but I’m sick to death of the lazy assumptions taken by neutrals, pundits and even some of our own fans that last night proved what a disgrace the players are etc... It wasn’t because they were deliberately playing crap under Ranieri. Over the past couple of months I’ve felt downbeat. I’ve felt despondent and even felt like the passion was being sucked out of me. Quite frankly I’ve felt like going down to watch us has become a chore. Now I go to every home match and a lot of aways - nobody would accuse me of feeling that way because I don’t care. The players were in the same situation. Not because they don’t care. But like myself, on Monday – that positive vibe, energy, passion, intensity and adrenaline came rushing back to them all at once. It doesn’t matter how much they get paid – those things can’t be artificially manufactured. That’s not within the capabilities of a human being. Those things are either there or they’re not. I can relate to their situation because it’s identical to my own. The assumptions taken about their behaviour being lazy are far too simplistic.

AKCJ Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Shout out to the "Wenger in" man. Who let him out?
Joefox Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Di Mitteo won the champions league for Chelsea. Something they'd NEVER DONE IN THEIR ENTITRE HISTORY and no one cared when they sacked him ? Man U claimed to be special and give managers time. Gave Moyes a 6 year contract then sacked him 10 months later. They sacked Van Gaal after winning the FA cup.
trabuch Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 I am loving the siege mentality. On a personal level I am much more feisty and forthright in my defence of Leicester City at work and with friends. I imagine the players feel something similar. Certainly seemed so yesterday.

We had one guy last week who couldn't get anywhere near Benalouane's name he went for some kind of hybrid with Amartey. I think I know who you mean. I think he got three players' names wrong. One of them was unbelievable. I wish I could remember what it was.

Perfectly put and I agree 100% I said it time and again on here, the players are still good players- they have just simply been on the floor all season.

My FIL is a swansea fan and was saying how disgusting it was the way we treated Ranieri - I reminded him that they sacked a club legend in Gary Monk who had been with the club for over a decade the season after he secured their highest PL finish. Every club in our position would have done the same. Claudio may well have won us the title, but he didn't get us to the Premier league so i'm not sure why people seem to think we owed him enough to let him take us backwards.
Foxxed Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 If it galvanises the players, then great. And if they continue to perform, they'll prove their doubters wrong.

Claudio may well have won us the title, but he didn't get us to the Premier league so i'm not sure why people seem to think we owed him enough to let him take us backwards. This is the problem. I had one guy telling me that last season was a fluke and it's a disgrace that we've sacked Ranieri. If your saying it's a fluke then you can't give the manager any credit can you? Do you think there would have been this much fuss if Ranieri got us relegated and we sacked him during the summer? No chance. Some people argue that he deserved the chance to keep us up which is a fair enough but the owners were not willing to take that risk. It's their money. They have invested a lot to get us where we are. You can't throw reason out of the window because of one one off season. Swansea acted given the situation at the time and so they got someone new in and guess what, they are still in the premier league. I want to spend as many years in the premier league as possible. Ideally never get relegated again if we can help it.
Corky Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 This is far more about Ranieri than anything. If Nige or AVB had been in charge when we won the title and been sacked there would be no outpouring of love for those fellas. Don't get me wrong, having a good man in charge is no bad thing, I enjoyed his press conferences and his demeanour but it really is hiding his mistakes this season and blinding people to the situation. Plus there is no precedent for this. We are the most unexpected title winners for a generation and others don't quite know how to handle it all in terms of reporting. But any set of fans watching the majority of our games this season would be complaining because they've been dreadful. We really were in a no-win situation with respect to the coverage of the game. Win and they are a disgrace for not doing it before, lose and they are a disgrace for sacking Ranieri. Although I think the owners have taken far more unfair criticism than the players have.
Moksky Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Savage saying it was uncomfortable to watch Leicester on Five Live earlier, Im sick of him - it uncomfortable listening to him. I switch off now as he is embarrassing, why on earth does anyone give this self appreciating piss poor pundit air time is beyond me
