Danny Higginbotham speaks a lot of sense.

Think he's the best of the lot personally.

Gary Neville is excellent, I'm sure I'll be in a minority but I don't mind Souness as there's always a hint of malice around the corner!

MON obviously for his city days but he is generally interesting and amusing

On MOTD the only ones I listen to with any sort of respect would be Shearer and Murphy.

Soccer Saturday needs new blood, though don't mind Phil Thompson

I think the best pundits tend to be professionals who have dedicated their lives to following football.

Ex players tend to be morons with heavy bias. There's a few I think are alright but a lot of the English ones are just thick lads that shouldn't be asked to give their views on anything, even football. I'm surprised at myself that I find Rio Ferdinand an exception to this, I agree with him more than I expect to.

But my favorites are people like Graham Hunter who live and breath the sport, who are intelligent, articulate, academic sorts who don't have the ingrained bias associated with having represented a team.

The European show panel on BT are tidy, Balague is alright on Sky as well.

gary neville is probably the closest resembling the average fan in that he speaks his mind but there is a level of intellect and obvious knowledge being a former pro.

shearer, o'neill, wright. on the odd occasion ive seen paul scholes he was good.

as for pundits that didnt have professional careers, jenas is the best.:P

Danny Murphy, Danny Higginbotham, Most of the journos Rory Smith, Jonathan Northcroft talk a lot of sense. John Hartson and old boy Mark Schwarzer isn't too bad. Don't mind Shearer too much. Ian Wright is normally ok.

Martin O'Neill is consitently excellent.

Tim Vickery is excellent as well for South American matters. Baluge and Honnigstein for European matters are normally fairly good.

Can't stand Jason Roberts and Kevin Kilbane, Keown, Jenas.

The BT Axis of evil - Owen, Hargreaves, Hoddle - are dreadful.

Barry Glendinning - knobhead of the highest order.

Wish I could rep that more than once just for the Glendenning comment.

MOTD....Murphy is excellent, Shearer v good and all the others terrible, I really do wonder sometimes if some of the others have played the game, especially Jenas, Gullit and Keown. And for all that he is a legend for the club Lineker gets worse by the week. Ian Wright is also v good, the perfect line up would be a combo of Shearer, Wright and Murphy, get rid of the other hangers on.

Sky...3 of the 4 soccer Saturday pundits need moving on Merson is embarrassing as he can hardly string a sensible sentence together, Nicholas and Thompson out of touch, get Cottee on more often and bin Paul Walsh who looks like a comedy parody of a 60's spiv. MNF Neville is excellent, possibly the best pundit of them all, Carragher is good when they analyse the game but he is just controversial for the sake of it. Souness v good, Redknapp/Henry v average and so heavily biased to certain teams I cant take them seriously.

BT...Savage is like Carragher, controversial to stay in the headlines, some of his analysis is good but he talks crap most of the time, all the others on BT are terrible, Sutton, Owen send you to sleep!

Media...Jonathan Northcroft, Iloiver Kay, Henry Winter...balanced and quality articles on football all the time, regardless of the subject...if you like a good read they all have excellent books in publication.

As for Radio...Stringer is embarrassing, he is a terrible commentator, interviewer and radio show host, he is utterly utterly useless and I don't listen because of him. I did listen to the Monday night show last year as we were all soaking up all of the coverage but I cant remember getting more than 15-20 mins in because of him...Jason Bourne is not much better, but Elliott is pretty balanced.

Collymore is great. He may be a willy puller but you can't argue that he knows his stuff, and isn't afraid to voice an unpopular or controversial opinion (often right), while others sit on the fence in an attempt to avoid rocking the boat. He also recognises that football does exist outside the Premier League, unlike the majority of pundits.

Gary Neville is decent, as is Danny Higginbotham as been mentioned above. Cannot stand Keown or Savage, wankers.

I find that Henry offers very little if he's talking about anyone outside the top 6. Neville is the best of Sky's.

The weird thing about the Ranieri sacking was that most of the pundits I hated actually spoke sense on it.

Danny Murphy is always good on MOTD.

I can't really say that I respect any of them Danny Murphy would be the best imo.  I'm kind of hoping that when King hangs his boots up he'll share being a Leicester City coach with being a pundit, he appeared very composed and articulate in an interview he did last year.

Danny Kelly is one of the few on Talksport who hasn't had me changing changing station immediately.

Excellent broadcaster.

There are some that have let themselves down recently but usually I can agree with. You're not going to agree with everything they say but the minimum you expect is a well-thought out opinion.

I do think Gary Neville talks a lot of sense and he offers a different perspective a lot of the time compared to other pundits, I don't think I like any other Premier League Sky pundit, although I do think Jamie Redknapp gets a bit of hard time at times. He ain't that bad.

The ones that get the most air time on Soccer Saturday are probably the worst. Some genuinely good match reporters from the Championship and lower games but they aren't big enough games to get on the TV.

The Championship pundits are ok, Andy Hinchcliffe and Danny Higginbottom are decent and I do think there is a decent pundit in David Prutton with more experience, struggles to get out what he's trying to say at the minute.

I don't watch enough BT really, but I can assume they're all rubbish.

MOTD - Danny Murphy is alright just because he keeps things pretty simple, Ian Wright is ok most of the time, got the right balance between enthusiasm and making decent points, the rest are a bit shit or dull.

To be honest though i generally put something else at half time and straight after the game, so rarely listen to any punditry.

I think Garth Crooks comments for his team of the week are an excellent short analysis of recent events, Vardy made his team of the week

" The hysterical nonsense that accompanied manager Claudio Ranieri's departure from certain pundits, who frankly should have known better, was alarming to say the least. Leicester's triumph's last season was a monumental 'team effort' and not Ranieri's victory. Nothing destabilises a dressing room quicker than when players detect that the manager has suddenly become 'big time' and starts to 'tinker' with the magical ingredients that created the success in the first place. Managers are nothing without players - a feature that will not be lost on Ranieri as he sits and watches the team produce the goods again, post his departure. "
