GaelicFox Posted 13 March 2017 Posted 13 March 2017 NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO Its a party , cream topping !!! I suspect our our last two premier league games were more important to majority on here
Dan Posted 13 March 2017 Posted 13 March 2017 Our last two PL games, both big, but not bigger than this.
Foxxed Posted 13 March 2017 Posted 13 March 2017 It's highest we've climbed in domestic football's most impressive competition at least.
lestajigs Posted 13 March 2017 Posted 13 March 2017 Well it is a massive game the reason because we will never be in the cl last 16 again
ousefox Posted 13 March 2017 Posted 13 March 2017 I can't remember being more nervous for a game than this already. Last year I was always quite confident during the run in and almost expected to win, but this is one single game which could take us to the quarters of the CL!!

If you mean what I think you mean (which you've worded incorrectly) then I sort of wonder why you take an interest in football. I can't stand the panicky attitude of prioritising survival over the FA Cup in low-risk situations but it's much worse seeing it expressed about this competition.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 March 2017 Posted 13 March 2017 A big game for the club but not the most important for me. Actually quite relaxed by it. Obviously hope we win and do have a little confidence we can do it but I won't be cut up if we lose
Viva Posted 13 March 2017 Posted 13 March 2017 Swansea last season was probably the most important game in my lifetime. This has got to be close with how big it is though. Far bigger than any play off final as those matches will come round again within a relatively short space of time. Also the League Cup wins. We don't know when, if ever we will get another chance like this. Also last season, nothing ever relied on just one match. We always had other chances afterwards. This is all or nothing.
Kitchandro Posted 13 March 2017 Posted 13 March 2017 No. Even if we win we're still unlikely to win the trophy and a loss isn't the end of the world in the scheme of things. It will be a very special occassion regardless.
Captain... Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 As a winner takes all stand alone game it is one of the biggest in my Leicester supporting life. You can't compare this to any league game in our title wins because we won them all with points to spare. The only league games it could compare to is relegation games like Oxford or Stoke, or final games of the season against Watford and Forest to sneak into the playoffs. Most other seasons our standing was decided before the last game. 4 season saving final games of the season, 3 league cup finals, 4 play off finals, or a CL last 16 game. I think our first league cup final was a bigger game, a chance of actually winning something for the first time in a long long time. This is very close though, to get to the QF would be incredible, look at the names already there, Barca, Dortmund, Real, Munich and the names that could be added, Atletico, Juventus, for Leicester to be in the pot with those teams is incredible, but it isn't bigger than winning a trophy, just ask Arsenal.
southfox66 Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 nope, that would have to be Chelsea v Spurs last season
fox_favourite Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 It's the biggest game in terms of occasions, but not in terms of importance. There have been many times where a single game means a hell of a lot more, but this as a stand alone game is the biggest occasion that i can remember. My Little Leicester City in the last 16 of the Champions League?! It's incredible. I'm expecting us to go out, but I'm going to enjoy the game whatever as it won't come round again anytime soon.
Guest Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 It's a big match, but nothing will ever top our historic appearance at the ICC last summer
AyewJoking Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 win and we'll be in the quarter finals of the champions league. lose and we'll forget all about it come the next league match.
Raj Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 May be the biggest "occasion". No where near the biggest game as there's no promotion/relegation/play off place or cup at stake. We've had some massive games in the last 10-15 years.
filthyfox Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 9 hours ago, Gerard said: No chance, nowhere near in fact. No one thinks we have a chance of winning it so we#re here for the fun of it rather than business. We're like Lincoln in the FA Cup at the QF stage as they were there also for the ride rather than in it to win it. Not that we couldn't win it if the stars aligned but Swansea at home last season was much bigger. Millwall were also in the QFs.... apparently, the prem team they played was so dire that they conceded in the dying minutes.
Guest Col city fan Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 It's our biggest game since our last biggest game and until our next biggest game.
Strokes Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 How can it be our biggest, when it's not that important whether we win or lose? There really isn't much kudos difference between last 16 and last 8 is there? This is the time to enjoy, win or lose with no pressure.
Guest ttfn Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 Just goes to show how spoiled we've been that people are pretty unanimous in thinking that a Champions League knockout game is not only not the biggest in our history but not even the biggest (probably not even in the top 3 or 5) of the last 12 months. Last season seems like some sort of mad dream.
Livid Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 No. Would love us to get through but it's not like we're going to be facing another season in the cash strapped Championship if we lose.

Sorry - I know purists will hate that!

We were safe then, so each win couldn't have been that important? What at a negative way of looking at things. This is the biggest competition we have ever been in. I want to progress and try to win this thing. I'm sure every player wants the same too. Therefore if we win tonight, then the quarter final match becomes even bigger.
