Better chance of playing the semifinals will . why do people want barca or real Madrid, they will still be waiting in the semifinal and final, I want the easiest game possible.

VLC86 Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 Think I know the answer to this but it's just a draw for which game day we play on isn't it?
norwichfox Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 Here's a thread I never anticipated posting in...I'd like Monaco please
what? Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 Bayern. **** it, why not? They're all big teams at this point. Bring 'em on and play without fear I say. Also, I'm in Berlin. There's not exactly a lot of love for Bayern or Bavaria as a whole in these parts. It'll be nice to watch a game in a bar and it be full of people cheering for Leicester.
MC Prussian Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 Imagine if it turns into an all-domestic competition in the quarter-final - something like this: Leicester City - Manchester City Barcelona - Real Madrid/Atlético Madrid Bayern München - Borussia Dortmund Juventus - Atlético Madrid/Barcelona/Real Madrid

If Germans I've met are anything to go by, that seems to apply to almost the whole of Germany. Everyone other than Bavarians seems to hate Bayern, so we'd unite almost the whole of Germany behind us! I'd like Real. Let's face it, we're unlikely to be in the Champions League again in the near future, so might as well play one or two big names. Even on an exceptionally good night, I can't imagine us living with Barça or Bayern, but can imagine us at least giving Real a tight game. However, I wouldn't be disappointed at any draw apart from Man City (if they qualify - it would be fun to be the only English team left). Surreal days.

stevebrock Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 I'm happy with whoever we get - this is beyond out wildest dreams it will be an occasion either way
mohammedsaqib Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 Booked flights to Barcelona for mid April back in Jan. Would be buzzing if we got them in the quarters, away leg 2nd. You're all welcome in my 2 man Airbnb

They wouldn't like us: "Juventus do not want to play Leicester in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, says the Italian team's keeper and captain Gianluigi Buffon. The Italian champions beat Porto to reach the last eight, while the Foxes also progressed by overcoming Sevilla. The Italy captain, 39, said: "Who do I prefer not to play? Leicester. "They are a dangerous and passionate team who can cause trouble for opponents who take the initiative. We would have everything to lose." Real Madrid, who have won Europe's premier knockout tournament a record 11 times and five-times winners Barcelona and Bayern Munich are among the sides already through to the last eight. English champions Leicester reached the last eight in their maiden Champions League campaign with a 2-0 home victory over Spanish title hopefuls Sevilla to go through 3-2 on aggregate. Juventus, who are two-time European champions, managed a routine 1-0 home win against Portuguese leaders Porto to complete a 3-0 aggregate victory. They are widely ranked as fourth favourites to win the Champions League by many bookmakers, who also make Leicester the rank outsiders".
Ted Maul Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 I'd imagine the Bochum lot would turn up in big numbers if we got Dortmund?
Guest Papasmurf Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 I'd feel almost cheated if we got Man City. Such a waste of an away day.
Lcfcwigstonblue Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 Expect high flight prices with it being half-term
foxy boxing Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 Whoever we get it will be another magical matches that we have in the Champions league and obviously the glamour ties are Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich but whoever we get I am confident we will give them on hell of a game and we won't make it easy for them and if they don't believe us they can ask Sevilla can't they!
st albans fox Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 We could beat Dortmund. Lpool beat them over two legs last spring. Tough to make a case for victory against any of the rest although juventus aren't as mobile as the others. (I'm ignoring citeh who we can definitely come out on top against)

Nick Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 For the best chance of going through I'd like to play Man City/Monaco or Juve. In terms of spectacle but probably getting mauled it'd be Barca of Bayern. It's just crazy that we are even talking about this - I've never felt so high (like literally taken a whole bunch of drugs) leaving a football ground. Last time I felt close to that was Leicester 5 Man U 3. The Everton pre and post match was amazing but we'd already won it so was a different feeling.
Gerard Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 Sorry but I've been living in a cave since August, have we ruined the coefficient yet?
AjcW Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 Two sides to this for me.... The idiot inside of me plotting a route to the final: - Atletico or Dortmund followed by Man City Semi (Or other way round) The sensible side that just wants to see another incredible night at the KP and leave it at that: - Juventus or Barcelona

Match 18th (this Sat) - West Ham (Away) International break April 1st (Saturday) - Stoke (Home) April 4th (Tuesday) - Sunderland (Home) April 9th (Sunday) - Everton (Away) April 11th/12th - first leg April 15th (Saturday) Crystal Palace (Away) April 18th/18th - second leg And then a break that weekend after - with the Spurs game postponed Everton is scheduled for the Sunday, any chance that could be moved to the Saturday or that we'll be guaranteed to play on the 1st leg on the Wednesday? Manchester City play on the Saturday before, so depending on the teams we draw (assuming they go through) and their schedules, then it should be them on Tuesday, us on Wednesday? Do they still try to separate the days that teams from the same country play? I think the two home games and break did us a big favour for the game yesterday. This looks a bit more tricky though. Almost wouldn't mind Man City because that reduces the traveling a bit. If I was Shakey I'd be getting it through to the players that if we can pick up 7-9pts from West Ham (a), Stoke (h) and Sunderland (h) then the first XI can be rested for the Everton (a) match so we can have a one week preparation for the CL 1st leg QF. It's important we're 100% up for it against West Ham not just for league survival but CL chances as well.
ousefox Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 Monaco would be the ideal team to play against with their style of play and it beats visiting Manchester in the pissing rain.
Leamington Fox Posted 15 March 2017 Posted 15 March 2017 It's pretty clear to me: anyone but Man City.
