Just when the public hatred of Leicester City was dying down! They'll no doubt try to stir it all up again

No worries, being in the public eye for negative reasons always seems to coincide with a winning run...

Pretty sure Nige was on that Sunday morning programme with Chris Kamara and Ben whatshisface and he did the same.

Claudio isn't going to start slagging anyone off mainly because he's not that sort of man but also because he's been paid handsomely.

I'm hoping that he comes out and categorically denies player involvement in his sacking, even if it's a lie. Would be great to see Carragher's face drop after he's spent the last 6 weeks slagging us off.

Yeah he did, iirc they tried to dig into what happened and NP just batted them off. I'd be very surprised if this is any different. A few guesses from me for the cutting edge questions Carragher will be asking:

- "Do you feel the players let you down after last season"
- "What do you think the difference was between this season and last season"
- "Do you have any options to get back into the game"

And I think the phrase "last season" will be used at least 20 times.

While alarm bells probably ring for the majority of us when we read the article, Claudio will undoubtedly take everything with his typical sense of humour and dignity. Moreover, after all the grief the club's had, if he plays it down, it will finally put the issue to bed. Unlike the Pearson sacking, where it dragged out considerably before he revealed what happened, we can move on quickly from this one.

i actually think (or maybe it's more hope) that Claudio will come across as quite calm and collected and not actually give that much away about what happened. Carragher will be his usual self and Claudio probably won't understand what he's saying. Neville will be the same but probably come around to the fact that we're better off without him and made the right decision.

I just can't see Claudio singling out players or staff when interrogated and he'll play down a lot of stuff.

Could someone please make a recording even just sound... and link it here when it happens. Would love to hear.

As has been said, i doubt that anything particualrly "exciting" will be discussed, but would like to hear when god speaks :)

These things almost always turn up on youtube

I'm not sure if anyone else listens to The Times football podcast but Gab Marcotti who wrote that book on Ranieri maintains that even in private Ranieri doesn't feel the players turned on him so hopefully that is borne out on MNF

hopefully he'll still have that dilly-ding dilly-dong spirit, at least in public. i'm sure he'll remain dignified and give our players credit for the recent run they have been on. he won't go on there and slag players off or bemoan at them for wanting him out of the club and he obviously won't talk about the real reason he left the club.

It will be usual post match sound bites from Ranieri. Carragher will push him to say bad things about the players but Ranieri won't take the bait.

It will be a lot of talk but not much will be actually said. It will be boring.

Dilly Ding Dilly Dong...I'm talking to Sky again, it's been so long we just need to get to 40 points this season.....I've much respect for Claudio and I don't foresee him saying anything to the resident Sly nob-heads to change that.

Claudio has to keep himself dignified. He has to think of his next job and being critical will not warm him to potential chairmen.

If Carra and Neville get on their moaning rants, all the better because our players use it has fuel.

I've got a bad feeling about this one...

Put it this way, He will have been paid off handsomely with a clause saying he cant speak out about this. Even without that he would put himself in a sticky situation with his next employers if we started slating players so I don't think he will say much.

He'll be on a gagging order anyway, else they would have kept him at the club in another role.

I reckon I'm not the only one here who thinks that whatever Claudio says, Sky/the press will only be happy with it if he sticks the boot in to the players. If he's neutral, he'll be accused of sitting on the fence. If he sticks up for the players, it'll be either ignored or warped.

I'm apprehensive because the media won't let fact get in the way of a good story. As has already been pointed out, the title is done and dusted, relegation could be sorted by that point and following our audacity to show up the bigger boys in Europe, it's the ideal opportunity before we face Atletico to remind the nation just what a horrible bunch of arrogant upstarts LCFC really are. Personally, I'd expect nothing else but for Claudio to be dignified, the problem is though that this dignified manner alone will be enough for morons like Carragher, Neville and the written press to say he should never have been sacked.

being the bottom 3 made me sadder

We were never in the bottom 3 under CR...

Looked as though we were going that way yes but never actually were in the bottom 3...

At the time of kicking off our first league game against Liverpool after firing him though, we were in the bottom three.

I can't even understand when people from Liverpool try to communicate, Claudio is ****ed.

If he hadn't been sacked, we'd have been in the bottom three by the time he managed our next game. So for all intents and purposes we were.
