Morgan out for a month?

Christ, if this had come a month ago there'd be cheers for the possibility of a formation change, but now... At least we have Benny.

Real shame for him personally if he misses the quarter final games.

It won't be quite the same, but maybe the second leg is possible

If you look below there is an injury table for all the other premier league teams.

It seems '1 month' is used as the smallest injury length in their table, IE it has Sigurdsson out for a month with a knock, O'Shea out for a month and he's ok.

Crap website, treat it with the contempt it deserves.

Think you need to wait for shakeys presser tomorrow

the actual physioroom website says 'expected return 1st april'

wouldn't be surprised to see him missing Saturday but athletico is still nearly two weeks away

Dunno how accurate this is, or if this is widely known (I just stumbled across it), but it seems like Benny has a good chance of a run in the side.

I'm reasonably comfortable with that, but against Atletico it might cost us.

That website looks about as believeable as Claudio's vote of confidence! I clicked on it and my phone went mad with malware the missus thinks im on pornhub again.

However they might me right as the club never release info on injured players these days mendys he will be back soon lasted 6 months!

To be fair Morgan last played on 4th March and was unavailable for West Ham and then Jamaica during the international break through injury. Our next game is on 1st April so by then he won't have played for more or less a month.

Will be very interesting who replaces him as captain for the time out. I would think a solid pointer to next season imo

Kasper already did and will continue to, as vice captain..

Someone in the Stoke thread pointed to the shedload of training pictures we posted a couple of days ago. Lots of happy energetic players, including Benny, but no Morgan. But then I didn't see Huth either, to be fair.

Sounds like we're going to see Benalouane and Huth as the centre-back pairing of choice for the next two Premier League games. Or at least for the Stoke match.

Morgan doesn't feature in this video from yesterday's training:

That tall guy just in front of Benalouane and Amartey must be Josh Knight then.

I thought I saw Huth towards the end when they were looking at shakespear, centre screen after 1:30

Am I missing something? Huth is the first player on screen, central in the navy training gear? He's in nearly every clip!
