Hearing about Kane getting awarded that goal and then Madrid doing that tonight just sums up everything wrong with both football and society.

'You're talented and popular, so here; cheat and lie and take whatever you want and nobody will even question it'.

Out of interest, what did Real Madrid do to cheat?

So what happens in may. Spurs appeal to the premier league that they were not given the title. Two days later Man C stripped and it's awarded to spuds.

If we score at wembley will kane pick up the ball and take it home lol lol knob lol lol

I'm in the minority, but I admire Kane for being so desperate for an extra goal he is prepared to make himself look even more of a twat in order to get one. His desire and drive can't be doubted even if he appears to put himself before the team at times. It's that single mindedness that has led him to score so many over the past four years.

Burnley are creating more Premier League history, like Leicester City, says Chris Wood

Former City striker believes if Burnley qualify for Europe it will be another underdog achievement.

Leicester City are no strangers to making Premier League history, but former City striker Chris Wood believes Burnley are creating some history of their own this season.

Wood was part of the City squad that won the Championship title and then won seven of their last nine games to pull off the greatest of great escapes to retain their Premier League status in 2015.

Wood then left for Leeds United but his former City team-mates produced the phenomenal Premier League title success in 2016.

The New Zealand international, who scored 20 goals in 62 appearances for City after joining from West Bromwich Albion in 2013, is now part of the Burnley side that is seventh in the table, six points ahead of City, who they face at Turf Moor on Saturday as they battle it out for a potential Europa League spot, and Wood believes if they qualify for Europe it will be another remarkable achievement.

Burnley had the lowest wage bill in the Premier League last season and were tipped to struggle this campaign, but they have defied the odds.

“It would have to be up there,” Wood told the Lancashire Telegraph.

“We were one of the favourites to go down at the start of the season and this group of lads have shown that we’re a lot better than what they say.

“If that happens, it’s a long way off and it’s a big ‘if’, it would be up there.

“At the moment we’re not thinking about that (Europe). At the end of the season, if it comes, then we can talk about it. For now it’s all about playing games.

“We’ve still got Leicester City to play, we’ve still got Arsenal to play, we’ve still got a lot of other teams to play.

“It’s going to be difficult so we’re just going to take it game by game and see where it goes.

“It’s another target to tick off. It’s still a long way off now, there’s still a long time to go. We’ve just got to keep knuckling down and working hard.”

There's no denying burnley have had a brillant season. I wonder if they do get in europe will they get a trophy like they did when they were second when we won the Championship? I always found it strange why they got a trophy for second. I'm sure we wouldnt have had we finished second.

I was ****ing worried this would happen.

If our title win gets devalued by people comparing it to Burnley coming bloody 7th I will be furious. They're not even in the same ocean.

Obviously you winning the title was a much bigger achievement but Leicester did not have the PL's second lowest wage bill.

If Burnley do finish 7th with the 19th best budget I can see why pundits like Shearer, Murphy and Merson are singing Dyche's praises.

Quite a few ex-players are saying Dyche should get manager of the season because Guardiola has spent an absolute fortune in transforming City into title winners. Could Pep, Mourinho, Klopp, Conte, Pocchetino or even Wenger get this Burnley squad to 7th?

*****Dyche is being interviewed on "The Premier League Show" on BBC2 (tonight 10pm) if anyone interested.:)

I agree Dyche should be manager of the season - no doubt in my mind.

In twenty years time it’ll be,

‘Never, ever forget that time Burnley finished 7th, above all the hot garbage and below the top 6!’

As well as,

‘Huh? 2015/16? I don’t remember anything significant happening in that season.’

Completely. Burnley finishing 7th is impressive like winning £100 on a scratchcard, Leicester winning it is just unthinkable, like winning the Euromillions two weeks running

Sorry how on Earth is them qualifying for Europe the same as us winning the league? With all respect, it'll be a great achievement for them; but be sensible now. Also both us and Everton being in and around the bottom 3 with around 10 games gone and managing to catch up just shows how open from 7th and down is

Can’t remember them giving us much praise and We won the league by 10 points with the 15th best budget

2015/16 goes down as Leicester's best ever season in the same way as 1920/21 & 1959/60 does for Burnley.

Sure. Just like every club has a best season. There’s a difference in, uh, betterness of best seasons between clubs though.

Yes...Burnley two top-flight titles to the Foxes' one.:) Maybe you'll level it a 2-2 in a year or two.

Leicester are ranked 24th with 51 seasons in the top  flight and Burnley one place ahead in 23rd with 55 seasons in the top tier.

Footballers just aren't good at telling journalists where to get off.  I'm sure Wood knows perfectly well that Burnley finishing 7th isn't equivalent to Leicester winning the league, but when the journalist suggests it is, is Wood going to tell him he's talking rubbish?

Preston North End won it twice, means fvck all. Olden days football was rubbish and most clubs won the First Division at some point as it was a free-for-all for many years. No one wins the Premier League except the heavyweights, our Premier League title will never ever be eclipsed as an achievement in domestic football. I'm actually struggling to think of a scenario that would be more impressive. Maybe if Millwall get promoted and won it next season. But I bet you £5,000 that doesn't happen.
