AjcW Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Well I hope we target the fact they can’t defend the second ball
Koke Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Bollocks. A Saints win sees Palace drop into the bottom 3. Can't wait til those Italian mob wannabes flush down to the Championship.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Southampton dominate until Chelsea got that goal back, heads just dropped even when still in front, they have been battered since

EastAnglianFox Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 All the money in the world on Mark Hughes blaming Mike Dean for the result.

FoxesDeb Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 I'm a bit conflicted with this, I really don't like Mark Hughes so I'm enjoying watching his misery continue, but I've always had a soft spot for Southampton, and I don't want to see them go down. Hopefully they will be completely deflated next week, rather than going for the win. Doubt it though. We really need to get all three points this afternoon, otherwise Southampton will have more to play for than us. 3
AjcW Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 There’s genuinely nothing funnier than seeing mark Hughes upset 1 1
Corky Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 The worst possible defeat. 4-0 and you accept they are better, 2-0 up and lose and the points were almost yours. Could be a killer in terms of survival.
AjcW Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 He must be trolling bringing another striker on in the 91st

Rather summed up his reign at West Brom! (Then he lets them out till gone mid-night on a boozy night out) - hardly great for fitness and the body. The main issue seemed to be the lack of communication and time taken - again it didn't help that in the Spurs/Rochdale game the temperature was minus figures so no wonder people didn't like standing around waiting! We won't be so down on VAR if it keeps us in the World Cup this summer... Spot on. Apart from the world cup bit. We'll be fuming when it controversially dumps us out!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 The saints want attractive attacking football so they brought in Mark hughes ?
lancyclaret Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Makes surviving next season easier if Huddersfield stay up at the expense of Saints, Stoke etc. Huddersfield escape this year, but doubtful they'll survive (if as probable Wagner goes back to Germany).
fazzyfox Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 The Chelsea players clearly misunderstood Conte's pre match instructions to cut out the shorter passing when he said "I want you to kick long" 1
RowlattsFox Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Southampton have to win on Thursday, and probably will. The alonso decision will give king of excuses Mark Hughes a reason to complain but they were a shambles once they conceded 1. 1
lancyclaret Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Saints definitely need either Huddersfield & Palace to lose today.
MC Prussian Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Why are the Saints so bad this season? Well, it's because their matches usually last only 70 minutes.

I agree, the teams going this year will probably mean Brighton and Huddersfield stay up who I'm not convinced by. If Cardiff and/or Millwall are promoted I think they'll both really struggle so both of our clubs would have to very poor to finish below those sides.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 That’ll demoralise Saints even if they weren’t already, all on for old Sparky to relegate 2 teams in one season ? 1
TheUltimateWinner Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 (edited) Anyone still watching sky sports? This right here is why we have a poor standard of refereeing, instead of admitting a referee has made a mistake the ref coaches, fellow referees and PGMOL instantly try and defend them. How are they possible to learn from their mistakes if they’re not being told that they are?! Edited 14 April 2018 by TheUltimateWinner 1
ithuriel Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Dermot trying to defend the Southampton ref, its pretty pathetic really, I do not like Wise but both the pundits are correct in saying how poor the ref was, the ref being Mike Dean. 1
