I'm having an arguement with my mate who supports Newcastle on this. He rightly says raising your hands is a red, but I argued that there should be mitigating circumstances, your reaction shouldn't be punished if the provocation is high. Gayle is all over Maguire and not matter what he does, Gayle won't let go. Wilshere pulls Stephens shirt so hard he rips it. I think in both cases the player can be let off for reacting a little.

What really made me angry and annoyed, and I dont usually do annoyed/angry in or at Sport.

But only on MOTD,did it get a passing word.

Gayle 's cheating not for 1second,but several,in a very spiteful girlish manner, inwhich every

and fellow footballer hates. Then to top it off proves, that ALL Newcastle players had a plan

to get a fellow proffesional a red card. With Benítez Reaktion,I presume he believes that its fair

game for his players to react in such a manner,to conjure up an action to deceive the ref.

The remarks, reports  and punditory around that incident, was pathetic. Not mentioning

that wuzz-bitch action from 1st Gayle then bis teammates.

If a Leicester player would do the same,I would be embarrased and ashamed for my Club.

It spoilt for me any appreciation,I had on the day, for Newcastle actually being the better Team.

These  last few seasons, have been the worse in the  PL for petty fouls, where then the offender

then tries to sell himself as the aggrieved and victim, and teammates chasing cards.

Its even creeping Into proffesional Rugby-Union.

I dont expect saints,or mind some hoodwinking, but not this. For me it spoils the game,

and proves players would prefer cheating to gain an advantage, than concentrating

on their football Prowess. Managers Chasing cards, during a game even worse!!

How is the not a penalty?

Watch: Mo Diame kicks Jamie Vardy in the b*llocks

Jamie Vardy made us all wince as he felt the full force of Mo Diame’s right foot in a rather delicate area during Leicester City’s 2-1 defeat to Newcastle on Saturday.

first time I've seen it back and during the match, I thought the ref and linesman's view might be obscured. Perhaps the linesman's was but in that clip, you can see the ref has a clear view of it and you have to wonder what he's watching? Vardy gets the ball back in to the area and Diame has gone to volley it the other way. Would love to know what he thought has happened.

The whole game he didn't really seem to be on top of anything, even if he was standing right infront of the situation.

Seemed to rely on his assistants heavily to make calls even though he was standing right next to the incidents (Maguire & Mahrez incidents were calls that looked like they were made by the ARs). Haven't really seen a refereeing display like it before.

Ref watch with Dermot Gallagher on SSN this morning

Leicester 1-2 Newcastle

INCIDENT: Harry Maguire is shown a yellow card after an altercation with Dwight Gayle

DERMOT'S VERDICT: Only a caution

DERMOT SAYS: The law was changed and it has to be what is deemed malicious or brutal and that is regarded as an aggressive push. Referees see it as that and that is what he [Stuart Attwell] decided.

INCIDENT: Paul Dummett trips Riyad Mahrez in the box

DERMOT'S VERDICT: Penalty

DERMOT SAYS: I do think this is a penalty. He [Dummett] gets the man first. The ball just rolls away, he [Mahrez] is clever, he moves the ball slightly to the right and Dummett can't get it and I think he trips him.

The England striker was adamant he should have been awarded the winning goal in the 2-1 victory on Saturday after claiming Christian Eriksen's free-kick glanced his shoulder on its way into the net.

Eriksen was credited with the goal - his second of the afternoon - but Tottenham have now appealed to the Premier League as Kane looks to boost his chances of winning the Golden Boot.

Kane has scored 24 goals in the league this season, five behind Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.

After the game, Kane told Sky Sports: "It's my goal for sure. It flicked off my shoulder and went in. I swear that's mine. It was just off my shoulder. I don't care, it's my goal."

Eriksen said he was happy to give the goal to his team-mate.

He added: "I don't know. He celebrated like it was his goal so I expect he touched it. I'll take the assist. That's fine. Of course [you have to take his word for it], but on the camera we will see if it's true or not. I think it is."

Seriously...... appealing for a goal to be against your name !   Isn’t it supposed to be a team game ??

srikers are greedy - I get that but once the game is over, surely it’s time to move on ?

Pure greed over his ‘image rights’ imo

I thought the fact that Maguire is a lot taller didn’t help him, his chest height shove was in Gayle’s chin/throat because he’s a short arse!
