Vacamion Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 Has anyone else subjected themselves to Burnley v Newcastle. It is a joyless, artless, unrelenting low quality grind of a chore with little prospect of an exciting climax. Being a married man, I can’t really think of a good metaphor for the game, though... 1 1
Vacamion Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 The only prospect of redemption for this game would be if Shelvey loses the head and commits assault again. Or maybe Dyche ripping open his shirt to reveal an Everton kit underneath. Yawn.
Ted Maul Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 Could do with a draw here, but I'd like to think we can comfortably overtake both of these if we carry on playing like we currently are. 1
StanSP Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 this game is everything you expect it to be. Barely any shots on target, Burnley lumping it forward or lumping crosses in too near the keeper. And no real quality on show 1
Guest seanfox778 Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 It’s literally Newcastle launching long balls to the Burnley keeper and then the keeper booting it straight to the Newcastle defence and repeat.
Vacamion Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 Good luck getting some highlights out of that...
Popular Post fazzyfox Posted 30 October 2017 Popular Post Posted 30 October 2017 After opting not to watch a couple of the better live games recently I'm now paranoid about missing another good one. Lots of huff and puff, plenty of whistle, Ashley Barnes giving away free kicks...my fear of hearing what a dramatic 3-2 thriller it was is so far unjustified. Never take for granted our flair players, this is what you're left with when you don't even try to go past your man, hard work, physicality, the hope of a set piece leading to a loose ball in the box and an atmosphere so flat you can hear the goalkeepers yawning. Off to watch some paint dry as a half time treat. 6
Koke Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 Im not watching but surely this game cant be worse than the anti football produced by us and WBA couple of weeks ago?

No it isn't worse than that. It's marginally better because there's at least some physicality going on out there. I can tell both teams care about the result, there's just no quality to actually create a chance or bravey to even have a shot.

He's a fookin weasel imo. But he's right about Unsworth. He's miles off being Everton's manager, the side he played against us was...rank awful....and he is fat. I used to say the same thing about Shakey. The manager of a football club, imo, needs to present as being smart and professional when representing the club and its players. It was one of the things I used to like about Ranieri and it certainly seems to be Puel's way. Its only part of the overall package of course, but frankly Unsworth looks like a tramp. I think it matters anyway. I say the same thing at work.

ARM1968 Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 Surely Duche won’t go to Everton? They’ve spent too many pound notes.
Footballwipe Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 I don't care how much you pay for Sky per month, what kind of idiot thinks Burnley v Newcastle was ever going to be a good game worth spending 90 minutes of your life on? Spend your evening doing something more interesting, for god sake.

Tuna Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 This is the sort of game you can leave to go to the toilet safe in the knowledge nothing will have happened by the time you come back.

Vacamion Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 Come on, football gods. A late late shitehoused Newcastle equaliser. Maybe a really dodgy penalty. Come on...
Phube Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 Well that's just cost me 4 points... Thanks Newcastle. 1
Kitchandro Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 Tyler trying to put a positive spin on this game is pathetic 'I can't overstate the effort and the detail that has gone into this game'. The guy is such a hateful creep. 1 1
