Looked like he was trying to headbutt or at least going head to head with Deeney but yes certainly no excuse for Deeney's action. All happened because you had the old ball not being kicked back after an injury situation! It was the closet he got to a Stoke player all game! Edited 29 October 2017 by Super_horns

Good spot actually, just watched it back. He does put his head in right at the start. It's a brief moment though and would have been a good spot by the officials in real time. But Deeney is gouging at Allen's face for ages, I'm amazed it wasn't spotted. I imagine Deeney will be getting a retrospective ban, Shawcross probably not. 1

davieG Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 So not just the defence that haven't upgraded with the £75+mill from Lukaka and the £50mill from Stones Everton fans left fuming at Ashley Williams after Leicester performance by John McGinley @jhnmcgnlyshare 1 minute read 30/10/2017 | 08:45am Ronald Koeman may be gone but Everton fans were offered no respite from poor results on Sunday as their fell to a 2-0 defeat away to Leicester City. David Unsworth has been charged with bringing stability to the club while decision makers consider who should be appointed permanently but he couldn’t inspire his side to a result despite a spirited second half performance. By half-time though Leicester had already surged to a two-goal lead thanks to Jamie Vardy and Demarai Gray and Everton’s under fire defence have come in for more criticism as a result. Fans are particularly unhappy with 33-year-old Ashley Williams, who failed to cope with the pace and threat of Leicester’s attack. The Toffees defence is now seen as a big priority heading into the January transfer window, with the next permanent manager at Goodison Park having to stem the tide of goals conceded. Only Crystal Palace have conceded more in the league this season so far. Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the performance of Williams… Follow Ell Bretland @EllBretland A CB is essential in January. Williams shouldn't be anywhere near this XI. So cumbersome and creates problems. Harry96 Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 Yh was disgusting how he hasn't faced any retrospective action is beyond me
AKCJ Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 I actually thought Williams was one of their better players yesterday. That's not to say he was any good, he wasn't. He was tragic. But some of their other players were more culpable IMO. Don't really get the Tom Davies hype. Can't imagine Calvert-Lewin ever becoming a true regular at this level. Leighton Baines is over the hill. Vardy has Jagielka's pants down all game, Rooney is just a ticking time bomb that can't face the truth that he's not the player he was and, despite all the fuss, Gana Gueye was abysmal.

AjcW Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 The amount Everton miss Seamus Coleman just further strengthens my feelings that he's one of the most underrated players in recent Premier League history. He deserved a big move when Man U were sniffing around but after that leg break he'll probably never get it now.

Babylon Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 (edited) Burnley and Watford are meant to be having great seasons and we're only one point and three points behind them respectively. If Vards had scored the penno against Liverpool we'd be one point behind them! How things change in a week. Edited 30 October 2017 by Babylon
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 October 2017 Posted 30 October 2017 I honestly think the Everton thing is a scandal. I must confess, some of their signings seemed fine to me. Keane, Gylfi...both established Prem players. But to have spent what they have done, to sack their manager and to be where they are is a quite amazing failure. At least so far. To not come up with a proven striker to score the goals was a ridiculous error.

Why they don't tell Rooney to stay up front I don't know.... rather than trying to dictate play and then having nobody to pass to because he's meant to be the striker!
