Spudulike Posted 26 April 2017 Posted 26 April 2017 Did anyone else get an email from EFL Digital ?? " In June 2017 Leicester City will be re-launching their website. As a result, your subscription to PlayerHD will be cancelled. PlayerHD is a service run by EFL Digital Limited, a central collective that provides digital services for football clubs. As Leicester City will no longer be part of EFL Digital, the PlayerHD service will soon close down. Your club will communicate details around any service that they will be operating on their new website in due course."
urban.spaceman Posted 26 April 2017 Posted 26 April 2017 Hopefully we're returning to this classic layout: https://web.archive.org/web/20010302102321/lcfc.co.uk
urban.spaceman Posted 26 April 2017 Posted 26 April 2017 Come to think of it I do remember us signing a deal with some company that was supposed to last 12 years or so around the mid 2000s. I bet this also has something to do with it: http://www.efl.com/news/article/2016/efl-digital-new-long-term-partnerships-announced-3193708.aspx Just imagine, Leicester City FC with a competent website.
yorkie1999 Posted 26 April 2017 Posted 26 April 2017 maybe they found out you can use your user and pass and get on any of their sites with the player on.
MC Prussian Posted 26 April 2017 Posted 26 April 2017 I do hope our digital designers have been in touch with Manchester City. Now THERE'S a great website!

urban.spaceman Posted 26 April 2017 Posted 26 April 2017 Wasn't there a whole big feature in the club's monthly magazines just before it was launched? I think it was sent to season ticket holders for free so this is probably about 10-15 years ago IIRC.

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 Hope they integrate a history/honours section.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 New website, new ticketing system happy days.

Was thinking the same, their website is an absolute joy to navigate, so smooth and fluid to navigate. Does this mean they'll finally be improving LCFC Direct as well? I hope so as that site in particular is one of the worst, most buggy sites I've ever used.

It was like using a site in the dial up internet era
Xen Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 About bloody time! I genuinely can't remember the last time I looked on the club website, as I tend to avoid it wherever possible. It's an awful experience at the minute, hopefully they can muster up something a bit more bespoke and a bit more befitting of Champions (even if we won't be by the release date!). We've left the football league behind, hopefully for a long, long time, and finally we can leave behind the godawful template site that comes with it.
Koke Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 Man City have by far the best website in the league. It's a joy to scroll through.
Spudulike Posted 27 April 2017 Author Posted 27 April 2017 I'm getting a bit concerned why people are scrolling through the Man City website
Beliall Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 Shocked at the number of closet Man city fans on here to be honest
Stadt Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 Leicester have always been my second favourite club after Manchester City

AjcW Posted 29 April 2017 Posted 29 April 2017 They've been working on this for so long, I hope it's good and I hope people don't jump into hating it because I'd imagine it will be along the Southampton/Man City lines which will take some getting used to (as brilliant as they are) Man City are sponsored by an online website design platform to be fair so you'd expect there's to be good! One step in in the right direction, Digital in general has improved since they invested in hiring new talent during this season so fingers crossed it keeps going strong. Still A LOT of work to be done to be in the same league as some in this division.
st albans fox Posted 29 April 2017 Posted 29 April 2017 If the people running the twitter account are involved then I wouldn't be too excited about any new website Since been deleted incase anyone is looking for it ........
ian_marshall Posted 29 April 2017 Posted 29 April 2017 I just hope that they host the site on a server that can cope with more than 2 people trying to view content at any one time. That in itself would be a worthy upgrade.
