I'd like Gray to be given a chance and succeed. I thought he was a bright spark last season but he just needs to work on his final ball. He'll need to find the score more if we're going with Gray, Okazaki and Albrighton behind Vardy.

He has flattered to deceive when he started, always seemed hungrier coming off the bench.

I can honestly say hes had about 1 good game starting.

Spends to much time trying to run, kick and roll around to look like Ronaldo.

If he does end up at Arsenal mark my words - it's the wrong move at the wrong time for Riyad - he should ask Vards about his reasons for not moving to Arsenal. However like i've said before i'm more than happy for him to go there for the RIGHT price - but not for anything less than 50 million up front (yes we could negotiate for 40 million then 10 in performance addons etc - and the reason i'm okay with him going there if he wants is because i don't view him as a threat with that side - especially when the going gets tough as it often does for Arsenal at numerous points in the season)

Riyad is a great flair player but it could be argued he was helped throughout our title winning season by the mentality of the team around him - it was never his mentality naturally, that brought the best out of him without a doubt - what's the mentality around Arsenal like in comparison?  No wonder Arsenal fans want Wenger out he has no concept of mental attributes and they continue to slide as a club under his leadership. Without sounding too extreme - it also makes me wonder if Riyad wants a move to Arsenal for an "easy life" - less hassle?

He will always be a top player for us, but if he goes to Arsenal i think he will regret it when he looks back at the team-mates he had around him here and how they helped him become a better player.

But all in all this just really needs sorting now, its all dragging on and we are beginning pre-season, of course without proper bids there is nothing much the club can do - but i'm of the view now if we don't get the right money he can have a strop and be benched for a while - until he realises that he has to do more than have one top notch season to prove himself a top player, ultimately he wasn't good enough last year - and if no one wants to pay then he can't go to somewhere that doesn't exist.

It's getting frustrating now

Leicester's transfer policy is shambolic.

It might get better.. Early days.. It cannot end up worse than last year can it?

No ...   I think it would have been better for him to honour his contract and play like he was very slightly interested.

This. He should show some integrity.

I'd be more than happy for the club to play hardball with him.

If they got him in and said right, you not going nowhere unless someone comes in with £50m, then it might shake him up one way or another.

On the other hand - the problem with is, you end up with a unhappy player, disruptive to the overall mood of the dressing room in terms of team spirit.

There is already resentment.

The value could potentially go down, as it has already. Cash in a get rid if a player doesnt want to be here.

Play for the badge on the front, not the name on the back.

No, not him.

Are you able to tell us more? Like who is resenting what?

"The Sevilla captain, Vicente Iborra, is very close to leaving the Nervión* club after Leicester raised their initial bid to 14 million Euros. From the outset Leicester, Sevilla's rivals in the Champions League last season, was the club that really went for the Valencia-born player. MARCA [major Spanish sports paper] revealed the bid last Thursday and the deal could be sealed in the coming hours. The player does not intend to force the issue, but has the prospect of the last big contract of his career at the age of 29. The club knows this and values all that Iborra has given to Sevilla over his four years fighting for the team's cause. The club knows that it is a major loss, both on the pitch and in the dressing-room, and talk at the club is more about the personal loss than about the suitability of the deal - for more than twice what the player cost four years ago (6 million Euros)"

(* Nervión - district of Seville where the club is based, apparently)

According to Wiki, he's played attacking midfield a lot in recent seasons - scoring 9, 9 & 8 goals for Sevilla last 3 seasons (mainly in La Liga, a few in Europe). It also says that he's 6ft 3 tall.

If this story is true (and Marca should be a good source, in theory), I wonder if he's being brought in as an attacking midfielder/second striker, to play behind Vardy and get on the end of crosses from Albrighton & co?

As @Babylon pointed out, those playing time stats suggest he's either being subbed on or off a lot....maybe he'll play half the game and Shinji the other half? :D

The other stats suggest that he's achieving a lot while he's on the pitch - lots of creativity & key passes, winning lots of aerial battles & scoring goals.

Can't say that I particularly noticed him against us, but wasn't really watching their players.

He's not that young and he's not cheap, but I like the sound of him. Sounds like a very good, experienced player, strong in the air and a positive influence if he was captain and they're concerned about the loss of his influence in the dressing room....

I'll leave your invoice for translation services for collection behind the bar in Oadby Wetherspoon's, Buce!

Thanks, Alf. :)

We shoud have upgraded on the appointments off the field. Premiership winners with Championship mentality. Think Whelan and Rudkin are out of their depth

Ya rekon, they are useless.

Money I'm guessing.

Im talking of resentment from within the dressing from other players.

Im not saying who, not money the cloud over hanging over his saga

Grays your man. Nailed on. Lawrence and Musa dont cut it.

So we'll be signing 2 wingers then? If Mahrez, Lawrence & Musa go we only have Albrighton & Gray left

If it's true that there is a rift between Mahrez and Vardy, and it's a choice of one or the other, then there's only one winner in my eyes.

Yep. Vardy for me anyday

Youre guess is as good as mine. Musa is not good enough, and Lawrence unproven at this level. We also have Kaputska.
