Mahrez to .......................?

Recommended Posts

Him staying another season has backfired on himself, though I'm not convinced any major club shown a genuine interest last summer,

him staying another year was more of him thinking 'if I do the same again they'll come for me'

talk of Barca,Madrid etc last year, now the best he can get is arsenal, which to be fair,

based on the season he had,on a personal level, flatters him,he's the most overrated player I've seen in a long time,

as ive said numerous times,

hes good,but not THAT good

Spot on.   They totally distort our feelings and comments and make people overreact to what's happening.

Exactly!

He wants to move to a bigger club to achieve more. Fair play to the lad. It's not even as if he's holding us ransom for wages, he just wants his move to a top club.

He just didn't always put a shift in last season, it showed a lack of respect to his team mates, the fans and the owners who were paying him £100k a week.

The Algerians should follow him for his country and leave his domestic affairs alone. They did nothing but slate him before we won the league.

Here, He's been a big fish in a small pound so to speak. His lack of discipline and work ethic may yet haunt him.

Going to a bigger Club where they're all stars might be a culture shock to him. To see how hard they work just to maintain their standards.

Could you imagine him getting away with being late for training with Adams or Vieria or Keane at Utd.

He won't be earning any more unless he delivers, and so might have been better staying here, keeping quiet and allowing things to take there own course as they usually do in Football.

I'm so hoping all these Bull? Reports doing the rounds about us selling Mahrez to Arsenhole for only £35m is totally untrue and really is Bull?, would certainly feel like a royal arse raping if those arseholes get him for that pittance !!

The only way I'd accept £35m from those scumbags is if the deal meant we had oxlade chamberlin or Walcott or even both in the deal !!

When this thread gets to page 100, does that trigger a clause in his contract that requires him to stay?

This isn't imminent and I don't think it's inevitable he'll end up at Arsenal.

No .....it means Maynard will finally put pen to paper and sign for us.

But is it inevitable that he'll leave?

Currently only Arsenal interested but don't think they can agree a fee with the club. Others may come in for him when they miss out on initial targets.

Perhaps Mahrez should've handed his request back in January, then interest would've been more with many big teams having to play for much and wanting someone who can add to their attacking qualities.

Club wouldn't have entertained selling him so little point.

Perhaps he should just have given a shit and put some effort in, might have more teams actually interested in him.

I have heard Arsenal agreed at £41m , but this source I don't completely trust.

please don't shoot me on this one! I almost wasn't going to post it

I think constructive critiscism is fine Mahrez didn't seem half arsed last season in the premier league champions league he gave a shit slightly more.

I will miss him and his magic, but it's time to move on. Whatever fee we get for him let's hope we invest in a player who can create and score goals because that's what we need.

I'd take that, thanks for the info, knowing us though  probably £14m.

I agree he should be around 50 but fully expecting  30, 35 max.

This would actually make me happy.

Most chance of failure surely going to arsenal.

Sell Mahrez for £30. End up having to pay £35-45m for a average replacement.
