Youre guess is as good as mine. Musa is not good enough, and Lawrence unproven at this level. We also have Kaputska.

I wouldn't exactly say Gray is premier league proven either?

Im talking of resentment from within the dressing from other players.

Im not saying who, not money the cloud over hanging over his saga

Surely the players have only just returned to training today, Mahrez isn't currently there and this 'saga' started a few weeks back while they were all away.

The saga started last summer. I suspect some of the players weren't impressed back then as it dragged through pre season and into the real stuff.

Btw, despite those not interested in the odds, skybet's 1/7 is a price you rarely see not come to a conclusion.  I can't recall anyone being 1/6 or shorter and it not happening (vardy apart and we know riyad isn't going to have a sudden realisation that he is making a mistake)

True, but he has a lot more experience than anybody else, and feels he is being hard done to not starting week in week out.

And therein lies his problem. He really has to stop feeling sorry for himself, spend less time down Broad Street and fulfill his undoubted potential. From what I hear, Barnes has a much better attitude and hunger. I think Gray could learn a lot from that mindset.

I dont like his attitude to date. He thinks hes better then he has shown so far, constantly tweeting, his agent touting him about. Get you head down and earn your place, and work to keep it

Put it like this, its not a panic, look at Everton, they have identified what they want and gone out and got it. There are no hard and fast rule to signing players.

I would almost certainly say get it done early, get the players into pre season all together and gelling. There is time yes, but early bird catches the worm.  We ****ed about appointing Shakey.

Correct.

I'd imagine the resentment might be towards him being played regardless of form last season just to keep him sweet and now his desire to leave after putting in so many under par performances. And he's always late for training etc isn't he?

Vardy then.

Yes and if is Vardy I don't blame him.

Don't forget Mahrez didn't pass to him for 2 months during last season - they are supposed to be team mates, strike partners ffs.

Mahrez didn't try / had the hand brake on last season.

Turns up late for training.

Takes the penalties as opposed to the main striker - why when 1 in 3 he misses?

Yet he started virtually every game. Those circumstances are nailed on to breed resentment.

Mahrez has a attitude which is at odds with most the 'old guard' (those that won the Championship) and he was pandered to by both managers last season to the detriment of the team.

If he was my team mate it would be all I could do - preventing myself from knocking him out.

We've had 1 bad transfer window in the past 3 years, people need to stop overreacting.

lol we have had three in a row. Title winning season we got lucky that's Vardy didn't get injured as we failed to get a back up and I really don't need to say anything about the summer and January do I.

January is a difficult window for everyone yet we've made 1 good signing in each which is more than a lot of clubs can say.

But we appeared to need more at the time. We played a barely fit drinky and had to resort to an outcast of a CB last time.

If you need 4 but sign 1 gem i wouldn't say it's a success.

Oh, and we loaned a 4th choice CB from a team who had loaned him themselves.

Unfortunately the bad one last Summer has dragged us back from a position that we are unlikely ever to find ourselves in again.  That is probably the reason there is a lot of discontent and frustration right now.  Hopefully, we can right some of those wrongs in the next 6 weeks or so.  If not, then some heads need to roll.

Results don't lie. We didn't need more than what we got in both cases. If we did need more we wouldn't have won the league last year and we'd be relegated now.

If it's true that there is a rift between Mahrez and Vardy, and it's a choice of one or the other, then there's only one winner in my eyes.

Started ages ago and involved their wives (so I heard) and then they both got involved ...   and then CR sided with RM and that p1ssed off a few players ...   allegedly  ...   :)

We couldn't even attract Keane or Deeney, I think people overplay the situation we were in and the pull we had.

Is this common knowledge? The first I've heard of it.

You could be correct. But our stock was higher then than it is now. So attracting players may be even more difficult this summer.  Time will tell.

Yes, any window where you improve your squad overall is a successful window in my eyes.

This needs to be sorted one way or the other. He is clearly second or third choice for Arsenal or the bid, the deal would've been done. I have no doubt the contract has been offered to him in principal. It's called a contingency plan from Arsenal's point of view.

Riyad, sort your head out and have a season of your life. Take Vardy out for some food, bury whatever issues you are both having and leave next summer for your true worth.

Arsenal are reportedly preparing to launch a £70million swoop for Sporting CP duo Gelson Martins and William Carvalho.

According to Portuguese daily A Bola , Arsene Wenger is ready to splash the cash on winger Martins, 22, and defensive midfielder Carvalho, 25, as the Londoners face up to at least a season without Champions League football.

so is it Mahrez they want? yes but probably for 25 30 million
