True , LCFC want to get near that 50 m price tag but two things may push owners to agree to 40 m

- buying gelfi   s   By bidding an improved one like 45-50 m

- transfer window ending without hope to bet 50 m

Where are you reading these reports?

Arsenal will get him late in the window after p!ssing about for most of it. Either that or the longer it goes on the more other teams might have a nibble and we get maybe £40m from Monaco, PSG, or someone like that. That's what I reckon anyway.

I still can't see him lining up for us against Arsenal on the first evening of the season.

Monaco are losing a hell of a lot of players this window. I'm surprised they're not in for Mahrez.

They have to build a squad for the CL, and must be seriously getting short on top quality signings.

Yep - And many many more to come I fear.  This has 200 pages written all over it.

All caused by a press statement which he and his agent didn't need to make :P

He won't be going anywhere before transfer deadline day now, someone might get desperate after the first few games of the season and stump up £50m on the final day (looking at you Arsenal lol)

Also on a personal level if I was Riyad i wouldn't go there now after they've shown themselves to not seriously be interested, would be career suicide - he's obviously not their first choice signing as they would prefer Lemar (and possibly others) - and Wenger couldn't be that stupid to think we'd snap his hand off for £35m - he knew we'd be after a min of £50m.

Reports from spain : AW want lemar in CM and want mahrez in RW , its  clear in AW mind

Mahrez isn't keen on going to Ligue 1 (and especially doesn't like PSG) as it's a relatively uncompetitive league but that might have changed with Monaco beating them this past season

Can't understand the abuse you lot give to AW, have i missed something? has he done something wrong?

I understand that quite a few arsenal fans act like complete planks just look at the game VS you lot at the emirates, celebrated like we won the league, ridiculous. If theirs any fans you should dislike it's the retards over at "Fightingcock" bunch of put the pressure on ***** they are, you lot made me a happy man when you won the league as i live in leicester but travel to the emirates quite frequently during the season.

On topic: Mahrez has to realise that he's wenger's second choice in the positions we want him, Lemar is the main priority, for now mahrez need's to give leicester his proffessionalism and 100% effort, and just maybe he could boost his stock higher for the winter transfer window if he doesn't leave this summer. I like him, with him iheanacho iborra and vardy, that's a pretty tasty attack to be fair. With that attack i fancy leicester to finish top10 easily.

I'd offer you lot 40m+ Chambers on loan for a season or two for mahrez if it was me.

Hahaha believe me, the tools on the fighting cock get plenty of stick on here. I must have spent hours reading through their meltdowns when we won the league, it was beautiful.

Yo dude!

I'm not in for abusing your manager, he's done a hell of a lot of good in the game - that unbeaten side and bringing Terry Henry into the Prem was excellent stuff. Running your club so well on such a tight budget for so long, paying off the stadium are also top notch feats - and i was gutted for you when you lost to Barca in that Champs League final - watched it with a pack of Gooners, we drank a lot

 :sge: "yum"

anyways...I did poke a bit of fun at him and his commonly known (modern-day) shortcomings. Because of his history (specifically with Tony Adams perhaps?) of falling out with a few stronger characters he's signed along the way i really think it's become apparent he's quite hesitant nowadays to sign "character" players, he always seems to go for flair/quick players who won't give him much hastle - Sanchez is a strong exception to the rule but that's not going particulary well either in all honesty, all this leaves your current team a bit one-dimensional - and it's all gradualy on the decline in all honesty. I don't know where you sit personally on the future for Arsenal, Wenger or not - but it's kinda getting towards a Claudio situation now, while it sucks the Premier League is only getting more competitive - and Arsenal at the moment seem hard pressed to keep up with other sides who play the game in different ways. You guys really can't get off to a bad start this year, the atmosphere's getting rough and Arsenal Fan TV will be hyping it more no doubt to get millions of subs. Wish you the best of luck (excluding against us opening game obviously :trumpet:) but imagine how messed up it would be if you guys really got off to a bad start and were hovering down the bottom of the table, Tottenham have done it before, in good news Harry would ditch Birmingham in a second to come and save you and i heard Benjani's got a new passport. I didn't mean any of that to sound too harsh or "having a go-ish" just running with the jokes as well as they came to me :D you seem nice.

Comparing where we both are as clubs now - and i know i'm slightly biased but i think moving to Arsenal from Leicester is almost a sideways move. While it will take a little while to really solidfy ourselves we could very well be in European place discussions and i'm sure we'll be in contention for a League Cup or FA Cup this year, we're due a decent run. We also won the Premier League more recently and have high ambitions to really go places. You guys look a bit more stale under Wenger in my view.

I don't think there's any anti-Arse feeling for the majority here, but Spurs are a different matter.  Come August it will be the same for me as every year - anyone but Spurs.

Slightly biased?  You know we finished 12th right?

I think you've lost it a little at the end there.

AW talking to CP in sydney   When asked about lemar  signing

( that s all speculation at the moment , there us nothing really  concrete about any  signing , he said , he is a player that we  have looked at, but the  rest is only speculation )   Tuesday 11 th of July     ( arsenal are in Australia will play two matchs T and S , and then heading to china next week playing against bayen Munich )

CS   Said about mahrez ( there is no bid for him, and while he is here should be committed )   Leicester wiil be  in Hong Kong next week paying two matchs against WBA  and either Liverpool or CP

So ever body know that arsenal have their two previous bis for lemar 30 and 40 rejected and are in their third one 45 m even if AW said its only  speculation

Yeah true but the way things are shaping up throughout the Premier League it's all getting a lot tighter now with teams being able to spend money, we've got a unique brand behind us now of being the world-known "underdogs" of football, it's marketing #Fearless, we're only getting bigger and there's no reason to not believe we can become something more than that 12th place last year. I'm just confident and the club is also putting out an excellent image to the world, we've attracted Iborra from Sevilla who was taken in by the atmosphere when he played against us, we're on the verge of signing a top striking talent who could play for some top European clubs. We had Vardy turn down Arsenal last summer to stay with us, that's not normal for football. More than happy to agree to disagree with ya

I'm not anti AW at all, in fact I think he's a decent manager and has done Arsenal a great service over the years. Just like to make fun at him for being a perceived tight bugger.
