Expand please... I'd love to know why you think keeping our best player is bad for the club or why you think it'll affect the dressing room.

To extend your anallergy, you are like the guy with the hottest woman that you'll ever have clinging to her for dear life even though you know in your heart it's over and she's lost interest. That sounds painful

Keeping players that don't want to play for your club is always bad for the team. There are loads of examples, Berahino for one. It never ends well and breeds resentment from within the team especially if that player can be accused of being disinterested. If he stays despite wanting to be elsewhere his form will suffer like it did last year. I would have thought all that was blindingly obvious. Would you like me to explain where bears go to relieve themselves now? You might think he is our best player but don't state it like it is a fact. Kasper won POTY and I would put Ndidi and Vardy ahead of last year's Mahrez.

Can't say I've ever worked in a team where everyone starts falling out with each other once someone hands their notice in It would take a lot more than that to rip apart the team spirit at this club. Berahino is a poor example. WBA treated him horrendously.

I think we should agree to disagree there. Why is it that everyone thinks that the only alternative to Mahrez is to play some hard working journeyman in his place? Nobody is suggesting that. There are plenty of creative players out there that might actually want to play for us. Last year's Mahrez would be no great loss if we get the right fee. Spot on ... you're saving my typing finger ! IF he stays though, I hope the 15/16 Mahrez makes an appearance .... never say never ....

The last few seasons compared to all those preceding seasons when we had Andrew Rodney Impey or whoever you care to chose on the wing. With a history like that you don't have a player like Mahrez in your squad and wish him gone. It is utterly ridiculous. Many of 'fans' have got above themselves IMO with regard to who we were and where we have come from. This that want him gone because he's not the same as in 2015/16 when he was less marked and had Kanté behind him are like guys that lost the hottest woman they'll ever have and then say, "Good. I was never that bothered anyway. I actually didn't like her at all". My point is that whilst he is here at this amazing time in our club's history we should just enjoy him. End of. Who can name a more skilled player (in terms of being a baller) Leicester City have ever had? You realise the phrase 'baller' is just a shortened version of footballer or more originally basketballer. Not quite sure what you meant by it? Would a defensive midfielder not be a 'baller' (footballer)?

It is generally accepted that when a player wants to leave he can become a destructive influence if you keep him against his will. Most players can force a move if they want to for that reason...The only trouble is, you need a buying club, which for all his 'greatness' Mahrez doesn't have.

You've named 4 players with massive egos. Something Mahrez does not have. He's very humble.

I was told (good source but who knows) that the falling out happened before the request to leave and the situation between JV, CR and RM started to effect the dynamic of the team and polarised opinion. Didn't rip the team apart but certainly added to the problems ... a lot depends on how Shakey deals with this.

RODNEY FERNIO Posted 12 July 2017 Posted 12 July 2017 Notice that the last post on Mahrez on the Arsenal mania forum was at 1.40 on Monday morning. Since then they have posted 18 full pages on Lemar. Looks like Mahrez is not the Gooners first choice.

So no, DM aint no baller, G. Example: Ndidi is a gun, but that Mahrez is a str8 up baller, fam Keep up grandad
Almo-Fox Posted 12 July 2017 Posted 12 July 2017 Every true Leicester fan believe what should have happened last season is happening this season , Leicester is making right signings in viral positions ( CB CM PM ) iborra McGuire and kelechi and may be gelfi S will change the face of LCFC if CS will be strong enough to bench some now starter players A more holding on the ball leicester will see a top 6 position a reality and a challenge to defy and where mahrez will be not necessity as the more possession we will have the more chances will come from different players PM RW CM and LB

TAFKA Castroneves Posted 12 July 2017 Posted 12 July 2017 It's all quiet now, like i said before he'll either go on transfer deadline day now or not at all i imagine. In which case we probably should bring in another winger to be safe and prepared - or else we could get shafted - we've also got quite lucky that no one in our main 11 has had a major injury that's kept them out of a lot of game time the past few years - if one of Mahrez, Gray or Albrighton gets a long layoff we could do with another body here anyway. Good to see him smiling in training though! Ironically what he needs to prove he's a top player to everyone again is to get back working well with Vards - so it's important they can settle their differences, could be a win/win for everyone in that scenario long-term
