My video is more complete

But yeah, as i rewatched all the matches, he seemed clearly disinterested. However I don't agree with the fact that he made a shit season, an average one is more appropriated (unless you're talking by his standard).

Looking at that I just can't imagine what it would cost us or where we begin to look in order to replace him.

Hazard had a relatively poor season in 2015/16, he came good.

I honestly couldn't tell you if he's putting the effort in or not, every time I see him he seems to have the same laid back, casual, blasé attitude to life in genera. That's never going to change wherever he play's you'll never see him pumping his fists trying to get the crowd going!

This whole thread has become a dumpster fire. Avoiding it like the plague from now on.

It may as well just be in the main LCFC forum :D

I can't see him moving so it's just a case of debating his use to the team / knocking one out over highlights videos.

More articles from the mirror and daily mail, claiming we're now much more confident we can get lemar for around £45-60m, on a 5yr deal + £100k a week, hopefully we can pull this off, if not i'd like us to come in with a nice bid for riyad, and to not lowball leicester. Either way, if lemar falls through i think we'll put all of our focus onto riyad if leicester don't tell us to **** off ofcourse :P

If you're offering £45-£60m for Lemar, we'd just laugh in your faces if you offered £30-£35m anyway.

2 chances per game... decent finishing and he gets millions of assists.

Boils my piss that people want him gone. Comfortably the most gifted footballer we've ever had and people want rid.

How can you watch that video and not be in awe? The amount of people that just hack him down because they have no answer to him and the amount of times he wriggles his way through 3 defenders... he's a genius and I seriously hope we convince him to stay. This time next summer 50m will look seriously cheap.

I keep saying this when this argument crops up, but is is he that wants to go and he that is disinterested and not producing what we all know he is capable of.

I for want don't want any uncommitted players here, however gifted.

I was just about to reply to this ! ...   you are right it's him that wants to go ...   nothing wrong with that ...    signed a new contract just before making this decision ? ...   ok I can put up with that ...    but what boils my piss is his sulky fookin attitude.   Yes I hope he mans up, stays and puts some effort in ..   but if he doesn't then he can do one ..   gifted fookin player or not.

I really hope that people saying they are keen for Riyad to go will actually be secretly delighted if he does stay.

If he was a CB playing like he does sure he'd be a liability (David Luiz anyone?)  but he's not, he's our creative outlet and you have to accept that unpredictable flair players will not put in top performances every week as things don't always come off.

It's easier to play a 5 yard pass or to clear a ball than break down a defence. Also, unlike players like Albrighton, Riyad can't rely on his stamina and endless tracking back to show he is still interested when things aren't coming off for him.

It's one of those cases where people don't know what we have until its gone, when we're 0-1 down at home to West Brom and have nobody able to produce the magic to breach a defensive wall, people will be crying that he's gone.

I personally don't buy the "disinterested", "lazy" or "bad attitude" shit.

He handled himself in exactly the same manner the season before last and nobody cared. I just think it's used as a stick to beat him with by people who would rather us play like West Brom with 11 hard workers without an ounce of flair or excitement and finish 9th every season.

That's a twelve minute video not the whole season.

And the fact you have written fans in quotes, I take it you think anybody that criticises a player isn't a fan? Minds well just shut the forum down then, whats the point in debating.

You're right lets look at timelines. The last few seasons compared to all those preceding seasons when we had Andrew Rodney Impey or whoever you care to chose on the wing. With a history like that you don't have a player like Mahrez in your squad and wish him gone. It is utterly ridiculous. Many of 'fans' have got above themselves IMO with regard to who we were and where we have come from. This that want him gone because he's not the same as in 2015/16 when he was less marked and had Kanté behind him are like guys that lost the hottest woman they'll ever have and then say, "Good. I was never that bothered anyway. I actually didn't like her at all". My point is that whilst he is here at this amazing time in our club's history we should just enjoy him. End of. Who can name a more skilled player (in terms of being a baller) Leicester City have ever had?

My opinion doesn't match yours ayy? Shame that

Opinions are fine, you must be on the troll. Calling for Mahrez to leave? They have wards for people who hold 'opinions' like that.

If in doubt. Get personal.

Anyway last season form + his statement is enough for me. Take the money, invest it and play gray more often.

Well to me it was clear that his mind was elsewhere and that's why we will never see the 15/16 Mahrez in a Leicester shirt again.  I think we should agree to disagree there.

Why is it that everyone thinks that the only alternative to Mahrez is to play some hard working journeyman in his place?  Nobody is suggesting that.  There are plenty of creative players out there that might actually want to play for us.

Last year's Mahrez would be no great loss if we get the right fee.

You think gray needs to go out on loan then?

I'll say it again.

It is HE that wants to go.

To extend your analogy, you are like the guy with the hottest woman that you'll ever have clinging to her for dear life even though you know in your heart it's over and she's lost interest.

Nobody is wishing him gone. But you can't keep a player who doesn't want to be here, here. It's just better to let them go - for the right price of course. Mahrez continually looked disinterested and lacked effort at times. Nobody can deny that.

I don't car what state we've been in for the past decade either. Just because we've had worse players than Mahrez, doesn't mean we shouldn't criticise. If we go with your attitude then the club will never progress - after all, 17th in PL every season is better than 15th in the Championship, right!?

As for your last question. I'm sure there are people who'll tell you about Weller and Gibson and even McAllistet who was gifted. You can't suppress a whole history and all our great players (and we've had quite a few!!) into one "ohh he's the most skillfull ever". Keep your skills anyway, Id rather have a complete, box to box, 100% Izzet anyday because he's the best I've ever seen.

Mahrez has openly stated he wants to leave then so be it. He ain't interested in us.

While you're right, We cant get away from the fact that he wants to leave. I don't particularly want him to leave but i also don't want a player who doesn't want to be here.  Nobody is bigger than our club. If we sold him for  £50m and bought Gylfi for £40-50m id be happy with that. Although Gylfi may not have the flair that Mahrez has, he will get as many, if not more, goals and assists. I would love Mahrez to be here next year but if he doesnt want to be then we have to let him go.

Riyad to stay.

I agree, that's the way it is looking and a lot of people will be pleased here but it will be bad for the club, bad for the team and bad for the dressing room.
