For what it's worth, Musa, Hernandez, Mendy, Zeiler & Slimani all had the Walsh seal  of approval. He isn't and wasn't infallible!

In fairness he looks like he set some boobie traps before he left

Blimey!

I take it it was your first season down the KP last season

"Supported Leic for years" but secretly only started supporting them season before last?

Tell me i'm wrong!

How anybody could be negative towards this signing is laughable! A young hungry and to add very ugly English centre back with over 200 club apps and bags of potential to improve!  What more could you want? We should of signed the guy last season imo but hey ho!

Do 1 sunshine !

No

he is just pointing out what our billionaire owners said !

15/16 can't be a flash in the pan need to bring in proven premier league quality

maguire might turn out to be that in time

but for me he looks like another buy to resell punt

Seems like exactly the type of signing which laid the foundations for our 15/16 flash in the pan, to me.

we made a massive error not signing keane from united

Surely this deal is a sign that we have learned that lesson... Pay the money for your targets, or miss out and watch them flourish elsewhere.

What if we rejected the chance to sign Maguire because we felt the fees were slightly too high, he goes to one of our rivals and he's in the England set up and worth £30m+ by Christmas? You've got to take chances, and we can certainly afford it.

He is good enough with the ball to play holding midfield if needed

Haha are you on the coaching staff at Leicester? Signing a player who's a centre back then play them in another position seems to be all the rage with us at the minute. Amartey, Hernandez now big Harry Maguire!

I think the point being made is that he can play.  He is coming in to play centre half.  Obviously.

And Amartey played midfield for Copenhagen, the same as for us.

I THOUGHT WE WERE TRYING TO BE A TOP 6 TEAM, AND HEAR WE ARE FIGHTING OVER A 12- 15 MILLION POUND CB. TOP 5-6 TEAMS WOULD NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT PAYING 30 MILLION FOR A CB YET WE TAKE FROM THE BOTTOM. UNLESS  WE START BUYING SOME REAL QUALITY PLAYERS WE WILL AGAIN BE FIGHTING TO AVOID THE DROP.

People still more encouraged by how high the spend is rather than what it's been spent on. It's no wonder clubs in this country throw absolutely millions down the drain.

Perhaps they would be happier if we bought him in two years time when he's worth 35mn.

it's all well and good saying 'we should have signed .....' or, '...... would have been a better signing than ..... "

Keane wasn't 'keen' to come here in 2013 and wasn't exactly throwing his toys out when Burnley rebuffed our bid last year...Just, perhaps, he doesn't fancy playing here! I'd rather we signed players that do....

And yes, the same goes for Gylfi.... Would love to see him in our line-up, but if he's got to be dragged here kicking and screaming, then I'd rather we looked elsewhere !

I do agree with this to an extent, although I also remember FT having the same opinion of a certain N'Golo Kante before he signed.

I think NG is unique in that it is impossible for him to give less than 100%.  Couldn't wait to leave though could he?

This is exactly the signing we should aspire to be making.

We've got some very good young English/British players knocking around now and they could form the basis of the team for years to come.

Think we'd better call off the pursuit of Siggurdsson.

I mean, we can't be messing around with bottom six players can we?

This. How many people have been clamouring for us to spend 20/30 million on Gibson too even though he just got relegated with Boro. Add Gueye to that list last year as well.

And this. Ridiculous really. Riyad and Vardy came in for a combined 1.4 million and they've not amounted to anything have they?

Michael Carrick is another one that's been relegated so he must be rubbish.  Paulo Di Canio, Jermain DeFoe, Roy Keane, Rio Ferdinand, Micahel Owen - all relegated.  They must be shit.

Fuchs was also relegated
