mozartfox Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Rights Chaps, I had to work this afternoon (bloody nuisance that was) so I am out of touch on the latest developments. So has Jacob Harry put pen to paper yet? Or has he gone to Wetherspoons with Rodkoon to discuss the finer details of the Release Clause??
Koke Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Jacob is a better name than Harry so I will refer to him as Jacob Maguire from here on end.
Guest Col city fan Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Just the sort of signing i thought Shakespeare would go for. Good, solid, dependable CB with Prem experience.
HankMarvin Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 LEICESTER are set to offer Hull star Harry Maguire a staggering £20.8million contract to join them. And Craig Shakespeare’s Foxes will pay the centre-half £80,000 a week for the next five years to make the move. Leicester will pay £12m up front with £5m add-ons. Hull were reluctant to lose Maguire but he was in the final year of his contract and wanted to remain in the top flight.

The reason for us not signing Gylfi is going to because we don't want to pay his '£125k' wage demands isn't it

mikey54 Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Good old Nat at the Beeb has shown herself up - describing Harry as the Northern Ireland captain
ajthefox Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 13 minutes ago, mikey54 said: Good old Nat at the Beeb has shown herself up - describing Harry as the Northern Ireland captain That was in reference to us bidding for Johnny Evans. Meanwhile West Brom have turned down a £10m bid from the Foxes for defender Jonny Evans. The Northern Ireland captain, 29, moved to The Hawthorns from Manchester United in 2015 for £6m. That went under the radar, didn't it? Glad this seems to be over the line though, £12m isn't a bad price at all. Good deal. We sold Jeff for the same amount!

gurru991 Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 i'm very happy to see this getting done. We seriously need at least one & probably two younger Cb's who can play the ball out instead of the big boot. It looks like we payed a decent price & have locked the player up for five years... Good business in my mind. P.S I should mention that I'm biased towards Brit players.
Wymsey Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 He does look a strong player and reliable but his transfer fee request will put big pressure on him to perform straightaway.
Harry96 Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 He's young and English so wasn't going to be cheap even if he was in last year of contract.
SheppyFox Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Evans/Smalling/Jones. One of those three now, a good RB and the defence is sorted.
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 Hopefully the next time he's up against Benteke, he can do a better job.
