His image rights will form part of his new contract with LCFC. they are also part of his current contract with MCFC. Someone will want to be weighed in on both sides of the deal. without a solution it's not even feasible to make a short term loan with guaranteed purchase at the end because who knows if it would be sorted by then. The company who hold sway over his image rights will know that they hold a pretty good hand here and will be trying to extract the most money out of it before he leaves them legally.

It's silly beggars time. The Company who it's been decided owns his image rights simply won't allow his transfer until their compensated. Both Man City, Leicester and the Player are going to have to cough up the money to pay them off. I'd say they're negotiating to agree a fee to buy them off. That will be based on the estimated image earings over the rest of his Contract. As he's no Ronaldo or Messi yet I'd suspect that figure is quite low. On that bases a couple of Million should resolve it. He'll be worth the wait.
