Been pretty much ok with the heat so far. Apart from the air con has bust on my car. It’s in now being replaced.

But today it’s got me. I’ve had zilch energy and have struggled to do fook all, all day. Throats felling dodgy too.

I absolutely love it. Keep all my doors and windows and curtains shut while the sun is out to keep the heat out of the house, then open the windows at night to let the breeze and cooler air in. Easy ?

It was pretty hot yes! We were lucky to find a shady spot for the football, we took chairs down to the big screen and left them there all day, but the rest of the weekend was pretty much full on sunshine, and yesterday I had to queue for nearly an hour for water. There's always a breeze up in the stands too so it can be deceptive. Saw plenty of people sunburnt.

I usually find a nice shady pub garden and an ice cold pint works wonders.

I assume it cools down at night but the house is still hot from the daytime.

I open the windows and use a fan or two facing outwards that way it exhausts the hot air and draws in cooler nighttime air.

We also use a ceiling fan above the bed.

Best summer I can remember in my lifetime. Absolutely glorious company to a fantastic World Cup.
