The papers don't seem to have a clue with Gray as to what's going on. I don't really pay much attention. One minute he's got a £12 million release clause, then people close to Leicester say there's no release clause. The papers dust themselves down again and now it's a £22 million release clause. Give a shit.

It's The Mirror, there are no quotes, and they're plucking numbers from thin air. I won't lose any sleep over this one.

Apparently Arsenal also interested, it's a two horse race between the both of them...

Which we all know means Spurs will finish 3rd and he will stay.

Doesn't it say something about how he's rated with two big clubs sniffing. Yet we give him one game on and then five games off??

I would say yes. But I do think he will get more games now Shakey is manager. When Shakey came in it was backs to the wall and he used tried and trusted. I can now see him changing things a little.

Is there a release clause?

I don't know I will try to find out. But Shakey has said not so I'll trust that.

I think all these rumours are based on the possibility of a player moving from a bigger club and who is a likely candidate to replace that player.

Demarai wants regular first team football and not be just a bit player, he's young and wants to be playing regularly. he is probably ambitious as well and if we don't give him sufficient game time here he will go and find it somewhere else!

If he's unhappy in Leicester due to lack of play time, what is he going to do at Spurs? At least here he's a sub and sometimes gets to start, at Spurs hell probably be a reserve for at least the first year.

Shakespeare doesn't seem to rate him in the slightest (based on him giving the guy about 7 minutes at the end of games), so if Poch or any manager in the top 8 wanted him at their clubs I wouldn't blame him for going.

Would love to see him get a proper chance but we'll probably sell him for £12 million then try and sign Matt Phillips for £20 million.

I don't want us to let Gray go. Get him starting some games. Really do think he'll shine. Blow smoke up his arse, tell him he's wanted. Tbf, he's worked hard and got his head down, barring a few childish tweets etc, but that's to be expected at his age.

Based upon social media posts...including comments from his friends on those social media posts...he is expecting to fill Mahrez's shoes when he goes. If we sell Mahrez, I expect Gray to stay (and perhaps with a better contract).

He'll be in the bench at spurs sure but he'll be on the bench earning 100k a week.

Spurs won't beat us on wages...They are notoriously stingy, and the contracts are packed with incentive bonuses to make up the difference. If he is sitting on the bench, he won't meet the targets on the individual incentives (although there will still be team incentives to pad the wages, but that's depending on another good season).
