I don't know how some of you lot make it through the summer each year I really don't. Just relax and understand  these 6 universal truths when it comes to leicester city transfer dealings.

1. We will sign at least 3 new players.

2. At least one of these will be a fantastic signing (probably someone you have never heard of).

3. We will sell 2 or 3 players.

4. People on here will fail to understand that since the last prem tv deal there is loads more money in the game and moan that we are spending too much.

5. People on here will fail to understand how any set of negotiations work and moan that we are not spending enough when our first bids get rejected.

6. Everyone will blame Rudin for everything.

In respect of number 6. the marksman should be blamed if he is the one responsible for missing the designated targets.

There are quite a few on this forum who consecutively, year after year will tell us not to panic because we havent signed players or havent been linked with players.

Pictures will be put up, such as this one:

lol

However, in my opinion, this summer is really important. I think we have some crappy players at the club and the squad is no longer good enough to mount any sort of challenge for anything very much, especially if we sell our best player in Mahrez.

The longer we go without getting at least three really good players in, the more i will be worried about next season, especially if other 'rival' clubs start recruiting well.

I think we need quality in the spine of the side. CB, CM, Centre Forward.

Nobody is saying its not important all people are saying is things may be happening without us knowing. For all we know deals may have been done subject to the sellers getting in there targets.

But the way some talk on here they must be popping Valium like smarties.

Anyone who claims they aren't concerned with our recruitment is either a liar, naïve or a clown. There is something seriously wrong at our club, look at the previous transfer windows, we are abysmal at worst and distinctly mediocre at best. The only thing I will say is we've become a harder club to deal with when teams want our players, but rightly so. I know that kind of contradicts what I say because if every team did that then it's stalemate and nobody can ever sign players but it drives me nuts that the owners cannot see where our weakness lie. Off the field we simply have to restructure or we'll never return to the glories of the last two seasons. Rudkin has to be fcuked off as soon as possible and the jury is out on this Macia chap, not to mention the dinosaurs involved in our Academy. It's so frustrating when as a fan you know where we've been for the whole of the 00's and now we are in a position where we've done the hard work to get back that we can't rebuild. We are stuck in between two era's the Pearson era where he built this club and the Ranieri era where he turned everything to gold. Neither are still here, the magic from the squad is evaporating due to many factors, age and awareness from the opposition being two of them. We still haven't signed a single player who is better than what we've got in the last few years, except Ndidi who was a replacement for our best player and not as good yet sadly.

I have zero faith in our recruitment process or team. I wonder how bad it'll get before it's changed. Rudkin has a ticket to ride this gaff, the man is a disgrace.

Yes but apart from that .

There is the sense we are being overtaken by all the other clubs ( Everton and West Ham being linked to just about everyone) but to my knowledge no -one has concluded anything of note and some are still managerless . But I suppose it's the Leicester way to panic about things outside our control

In his defence rudkin gets zero credit when we make unbelievable signings like Mahrez, Kante and Ndidi (to name a few) but gets a 100 percent of the blame if we miss a signing or a good player leaves. People can't have it both ways!

He might be terrible at his job he might be great at it. I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes at the club and neither does anyone else on here. All I know is that if you look at a transfer dealings as a whole in the last 3 years they gave been a massive success and he has been part of that. Also people like and respect  the owners and they seem to like him so maybe the constant slagging of him is a bit of a wild goose chase?

Got to say, we are world class, as a forum, at massive panic. That, and using the word 'embarrassing'.

Dont panic everyone, that post is embarrassingly world class!

Pretty certain you can get an operation on the NHS to treat this.

You cant...There are no beds to transfer to...

And the staff are on weird get out clauses...

The signings could happen all at once and these new players could be announced via holding scarfs up on the pitch alongside each other?

Can't see it happening, but what a statement that would be. Transfer business through by the latter stages of June, and July/August are all about bedding new signings in and acclimation.

In Rudders/Macias defence, they're stuck between a rock and a hard place...

Sign young talents Gray, Amartey, Kramaric, Kappy etc who don't make an immediate impact....They've signed shite !

Sign experienced players from abroad who don't 'burn up' the PL from day one: Slim, Musa, Mendy, Inler etc...They've signed shite !

They don't land 'star' signings that we're linked with....Silva, Barbosa, Dragovic, possibly Siggy ...They're shite themselves for not getting the signing over the line.

Now, they seemingly line up what seems a real 'steal deal' Maguire, and they're still shite because they haven't spent 'bigger' on a 'bigger' name!!

They were 'shite' for letting Kante go, (albeit at a 600% profit)... They're gonna be shite for not preventing Mahrez going,  equally shite for settling for anything Less than £40m, (but equally shite for holding out for £40m and ending up with him still at the club)!!

thankless really !!

I'd happily take the "thanks" they get on payday but  I do see your point.

There's so much gloom and doom in here I'm expecting to see "Hell" cited as a holiday destination.

Seems to me we've been fairly well out of the blocks already, given our delayed managerial appointment.

Both our signings so far seem pretty positive and there's no signs of those being the last by any means .

As for outgoings, with the various contracts involved I don't see anyone going for less than  the right price or in anything but the right circumstances.

Like it or not football is people trading. The skill is to buy low and sell high. You don't always win, but we seem to be pretty good at it.

And eminently better competitors, on and off the park, than we were before today's owners arrived.

Transfer window has been open a whole week, most footballers will be on holiday, with a few on international duty etc. and we haven't made 15 new signings worth £300M. The world is coming to an end.

Lots happening on the transfer rumour mill. Vardy off the Man C or is it Everton? Schmeichel off to Man U or is it Man C? Mahrez off to Arsenal, or is it Chelsea, or Barcelona, or Juve? Gray off the Liverpool, or is it Spurs? Ulloa off the WBA, or is it Brighton? Slimani off where he came from. Musa just off, anywhere. Mendy taking his crutches back to France. No interest in DD this year, I wonder why?

In, a top signing from Chester.
