Bazly Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Lots happening on the transfer rumour mill. Vardy off the Man C or is it Everton? Schmeichel off to Man U or is it Man C? Mahrez off to Arsenal, or is it Chelsea, or Barcelona, or Juve? Gray off the Liverpool, or is it Spurs? Ulloa off the WBA, or is it Brighton? Slimani off where he came from. Musa just off, anywhere. Mendy taking his crutches back to France. No interest in DD this year, I wonder why? In, a top signing from Chester.
wasthedestroyer Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Not massively worried but have started to think, what the **** is Rudkin doing not pushing for signings & inquiries already. The managers job is sealed so we should be going for players by now.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Last time i looked it was June and none of those mentioned were free agents, so contractually tied to us with very good deals. We don't have to sell them, and we can't until July. So sit tight and hold on, lets see what actually happens and ignore the BS rumors.
Thracian Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Gonner-do...... How hard is it to make contact with a player to gauge his reaction to transferring and then to talk the contract talk and make the offer? Yet so much of the drivel found on the internet is totally ficticious gonner-do and much of it without an .'appeth of truth or logic. It's there to attract keystrokes. Look at Musa. First he's going to turkey, then to West Brom, next he'll be off to Waitrose... and that while his agent says he's going nowhere. As far as i recall most of our Premiership players have fairly lengthy contracts at decent money. The club doesn't have to sell and likely won't sell without reason and certainly not without having an alternative in place or at the very least in mind. I'm delighted if the first sign of our recruiting someone is the club's official announcement. It a sign that business is being conducted properly - internally and externally.
The whole world smiles Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 I don't know how some of you lot make it through the summer each year I really don't. Just relax and understand these 6 universal truths when it comes to leicester city transfer dealings. 1. We will sign at least 3 new players. 2. At least one of these will be a fantastic signing (probably someone you have never heard of). 3. We will sell 2 or 3 players. 4. People on here will fail to understand that since the last prem tv deal there is loads more money in the game and moan that we are spending too much. 5. People on here will fail to understand how any set of negotiations work and moan that we are not spending enough when our first bids get rejected. 6. Everyone will blame Rudin for everything.
LCCFox96 Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 No, big deals take time these days. Unlike a number of clubs, we are in a different position with a recent manager change which will means we have to alter our plans slightly. They've publicly said there will be incomings, I'd back Shakespeare and his team to address the correct areas and we've also seen a slight bonus of a highly rated youngster come in for a peanuts £100,000 fee. Nothing overly worrying at this moment in time.
Ric Flair Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Anyone who claims they aren't concerned with our recruitment is either a liar, naïve or a clown. There is something seriously wrong at our club, look at the previous transfer windows, we are abysmal at worst and distinctly mediocre at best. The only thing I will say is we've become a harder club to deal with when teams want our players, but rightly so. I know that kind of contradicts what I say because if every team did that then it's stalemate and nobody can ever sign players but it drives me nuts that the owners cannot see where our weakness lie. Off the field we simply have to restructure or we'll never return to the glories of the last two seasons. Rudkin has to be fcuked off as soon as possible and the jury is out on this Macia chap, not to mention the dinosaurs involved in our Academy. It's so frustrating when as a fan you know where we've been for the whole of the 00's and now we are in a position where we've done the hard work to get back that we can't rebuild. We are stuck in between two era's the Pearson era where he built this club and the Ranieri era where he turned everything to gold. Neither are still here, the magic from the squad is evaporating due to many factors, age and awareness from the opposition being two of them. We still haven't signed a single player who is better than what we've got in the last few years, except Ndidi who was a replacement for our best player and not as good yet sadly. I have zero faith in our recruitment process or team. I wonder how bad it'll get before it's changed. Rudkin has a ticket to ride this gaff, the man is a disgrace.
TJB-fox Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Not even July yet and no new signings, EVERYONE PANIC!!! Seriously though what's the big (negative) deal about this Hughes lad, it's a pretty much a risk free signing who could turn out to be very good, or equally very shit. It's not like we've brought him in AS the new centre back to replace Morgan or Huth he's clearly been brought in to work with the 23's and hopefully develop very soon

lgfualol Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 I'm sure the club are working on it and keeping tight-lipped like usual. Not worried yet but would like a couple signings before pre-season.

yorkie1999 Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Seeing as the transfer window does not open until the 1st of July and any potential signings will be kept well secret as not to alert other clubs to who we are after, as in the past we have managed to unearth some gems that other clubs would have thought "why didn't we sign him", i think the lack of any information is justified. Why should the club tell the fans who they're going to sign? Little bit stupid to do so and people thinking there's nothing going on and trying to come up with crap about the guy who signs them are a little bit stupid themselves, in fact bordering on being impatient children at Christmas who throws their toys out of the pram because their mum and dad wont let them open a Christmas present early.

Pre contract agreement just like other clubs do. Man City have announced 3or 4 players as other clubs have.
les-tah Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 We didnt pay over the odds for Deeney, nor Keane nor Adrien Silva... And things havent changed clubs are gonna still ask for the big money because thats how it is now. Prices have gone up and there is no such thing as a bargain anymore really.
