Stadt Posted 1 July 2017 Posted 1 July 2017 @21st Century Fox has the best username imo it works well on a few different levels
Alf Bentley Posted 1 July 2017 Posted 1 July 2017 Late great manager of Folkestone Town, my first love in football (club sadly defunct in 1991, Alf deceased in 1996). He achieved the impossible: got "us" perennial strugglers promoted to the Southern Premier, took us to the glory of the FA Cup 1st Round on the back of a 20-match unbeaten run & defeated hated rivals Dover 4-0 in the Kent Senior Cup Final. He was also a "character". I remember him throwing a haymaker at Barking fans after they had a go at some of ours - and a ref refusing to leave the pitch at half-time as Alf was standing by the tunnel, unhappy at a decision. He got a few bans. I was "Sir Alf Bentley" (play on Sir Alf Ramsey), but the much-missed Zingari advised me that people might just think I was a massive egotist.....so I changed it, not wanting them to know the truth. All hail Zingari! All hail the real Alf Bentley! The FT imposter Alf can fack off!
danny2997 Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 An inability to type my birth year correctly when I made my first email account about 10 years ago. Not got any smarter to this day.

Tielemans63 Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 Paddy was my nickname all the way through school. Think it started when I was about 7 or 8 and I had a birthday party at my house and literally none of my mates could understand a word my dad was saying because his Irish accent gets thicker when he's pissed (ironically, he's never been much of a drinker.). From the next Monday at school I was known as Paddy and that was that. Started on here as Paddy Akinbiyi in honour of the great man but soon realised that that was about as funny as a kick in the balls so changed it to Paddy. The full stop is there because there's more than one Paddy - not that he ever posts and I have to put up with that annoying full stop. Might change it tbh.
mozartfox Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 My real name is Ron Judkin, so had to change to something different for obvious reasons.
Vacamion Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 A failed attempt to translate an area of Glasgow I lived in 15 years ago into French. If my pal had been more accurate with his translation, I would be Vacamionette. Traduttore traditore.

Vacamion Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 We all think we're dry, when actually we're a bit wet...

I don't know why but it seems to absorb the water much better than a towel.
sphericalfox Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 Wanted to change my username from BBC 606 when it was closing down in joining here. Round ball = spherical; fox = fox. I've kept continuity across social media cos why not.
