The joke will have worn thin for most of you years ago, but for those who have remained gloriously out of the loop, it's the product of a deliberate mishearing for comic purposes of the name of the stalwart Glaswegian indie combo, who I'm a big fan of.

I chose it partly because football forums can often take themselves a bit too seriously and I suspected that people would probably struggle to get too cross with a user calling themselves Bellend.

I was very grateful that the admins at the time didn't consider having 'Bellend' as part of one's username was a problem, and if anything encouraged it

There is a song by a band I used to love called lets get ****ed up and die (lgfuad), but I thought that was too morbid so put löl at the end.

I always read your username as IGFUALOL as in starting with a capital "i" rather than a lower case "l".

Now you've scrambled my mind.

I can speak Spanish and thought it would make me look really cool having a username in another language.

I also deliberately mistranslated into a word for word Google style translation because I thought it was ironically funny or something.

Basically, I was (am) a bit of a pretentious cock.

Thanks so much for that, daz.

I had no idea how nostalgic that was going to make me feel - it brought a tear to my eye.

You're welcome mate - glad you enjoyed it. I'm into running and found it fascinating - just wish it was a longer film.

There's another one on the Redbull.tv site called 'Human' about the same guy but running 1900 miles on the Pony Express Trail.

That site is actually really good - like a free Netflix for sports / music short films.

Have always been a massive fan of Helio Castroneves the Indycar driver, i used to just have Castroneves on another forum (not football related) - then that forum lost all its data and had to be restarted so i re-registered and changed the name slightly to TAFKA (obviously the artist formally known as) Castroneves and its kinda stuck since, wouldn't have any other name now.

I just have an obsession with buzzy bees. I've always wanted to be one just to piss people off.

Serious reason is because my nickname back in my football days was Buzz and buzzer_b was my email to MSN when I was an Internet playa at school getting all the chicks.

My last name with a sarcastic poke at my outright dreadful footballing ability  attached.

Thought I'd be the only 'Finn-' but was pretty tiffed when it turns out there was a less funny Welsh one here already

Late 90's when I upgraded to a full ST home games were just all-dayer's, hence the name...

Avatar goes with it.

Back to a more reserved city fox now.

From a 1984 film called Party Animal.  Pondo Sinatra was the sexless main character who declares that he would "sell his soul for a piece of ass"

If it helps, I'm an imposter. Finnegan isn't my last name it's just a reference to several things that I like.
