Chrysalis Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 What mahrez should have done. 1 - Said he would consider an offer to leave if it appeared, as feels he has achieved all he can with club, instead he said he "was" leaving this summer and wanted out last summer, a suicide statement which turned some fanbase against him. 2 - Made sure it didnt get out he left training, or gave a reason such as sickness for the absence, instead of saying he is off to formalise a deal. 3 - Carried on playing for us and playing well - this to be fair he did. He didnt fake injury like drinkwater, countinho etc. Moving forward he needs to ditch his agent, get his head down and perform well on the pitch and in training, if he pulls of a good season then I expect more bids will appear next summer, I guess he might feel tho if he plays badly enough we wont try to hold onto him. I hope he doesnt take that approach, which he possibly did last season and made other clubs drop interest in him.

When Mahrez eventually gets his move the Algerian fans that want the best for LCFC won't give our results or transfer dealings a second glance He might be the most talented player we've had but LCFC will still be a club long after Riyad hangs up his boots
