We are paying him £80k p/w which I doubt Spurs were willing 2 + playing time probably gave us the edge. I doubt a player would sign just because of Craig shakspeare.

Of course no one signs "just because" of the manager. There are many factors a player takes into account, but the manager was still a massive factor and Maguire himself has mentioned this several times previously.

Why have you ever talked to Shakespeare?

Lots of players have said they signed for a club due to the influence and personal interest shown by the manager. Maybe he was impressed by the fact that Shakespeare flew over to talk to him personally.

Not all players choose a slightly bigger wage packet assuming you know something I don't especially if they're coming from a lower rate.

An extra 5 or 10 grand may seem slightly bigger when we're talking about £80k a week but 5k a week over a year is an extra quarter of a million. There's nothing slight about it.

Agree but these figures that are being quoted are all guesswork and don't even consider bonus payments, loyalty payments, taxes, agent's fees moving cost and aggravation etc.

There's whole package of info relating to transfers that most fans know nothing about even the fees paid are mostly just guess work.

The point was that OhYesNdidi was totally guessing in a somewhat derogatory manner the influence Shakespeare had on Maguire's move.

Keown say the bug clubs will be in for him.

I think he will find lcfc is top if the money league and we've won the pl far more recently than arse.

He needs to practice more mindfulness and let go of these emotions from the past.   He is imprisoned by them

I was talking out my arris. This man is IMMENSE in the air and could well be player of the tournament. I think He’ll soon be captain of both club and country.

I love him. What a performance today.

He looks a lot better in a 3 at the back system

Would have to agree gives him more freedom on the ball, with the extra cover.

Also helps protect him from being isolated one on one!

No I didn’t say he was crap...I’ve never said he was crap lol

I said he was great but could be suspect in the air. Today he was utterly immense in the air, so I said so.

You really do talk some utter nonsense!

TO be fair he won more headers than anyone else in the game you accused him of being suspect on headers in.  In general you are a fair poster but you were overly critical of the big man the other day.  X
