If you think the first half has shown his talent then that explains why we are at odds over Amartey. Laughable. Maybe you are winding us up? Hah, again, all I asked re Amartey was whether you had the evidence you asked another poster for, which he provided. You had nothing. Don't be butthurt I pointed that out, it isn't a big deal. As for Musa, I didn't say "the first half has shown his talent" now, did I? Just like the Amartey post, you are assuming what I think and arguing with me about things I didn't say. When we signed Musa, I watched the tape I could find. I looked at his highlights, obviously, and I looked at his game log and tried to watch some of his better games. When I did that, it is screamingly obvious to me that Musa has talent, AND that his talent can translate to the Premier League. Why do I think that? Because Musa is often able to get possession of the ball in very dangerous areas. His speed allows him to be led to an extravagant extent with the pass, and he has the physical ability to get around a lot of the RBs in the Premiership. If we could get him to a place where he is making good decisions with the ball when he is in these dangerous areas, it will lead to goals, as most wings in the Prem cannot move the way he can, and cannot get the ball in space on the wing the way he can. If his speed is used properly, he can destroy a lot of RBs in the PL. But he has lost his confidence, his first touch continues to be ugly, and his decision-making sucks. Lots of players have trouble coming to the PL, so the obvious question is whether he can do that in the PL? My thinking is that this isn't "is he physical enough," this is "can he make good decisions," so I remain hopeful. If you want to take the position that he has no real skill other than his speed, well, ok. I think you're wrong, as I have seen him look good with the ball, and make the tidy pass, and show some vision on the field, but I know he may never make it. I hope he does, but he may not. Incidentally, he has chilled the F out a bit in the second half, and is making better decisions -- just watched him with some space give it to Gray and make a run, though the ball found Slimani, though then he passed up a shot to pass to Chilwell, the lack of confidence rears its head again. It's a process.
Foxxed Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 I want Slim to get a hatrick. Like one the ref acknowledges.

Was it Stockport or someone few years back where we only opened one stand for it? Competitions never got great attendances at this stage.
HoustonFox Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Ben Hamer reacted about as quickly as FoxesTalk is at the moment
MC Prussian Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Well, that's been a bit awkward. Hamer caught on his near side. Completely switched off and misjudged that.
The Doctor Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Pretty poor from Hamer, shouldn't be starting that far across.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 "Magnificent finish!" A complete miss-hit, which is what caught Hamer out.

Tuna Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 When Musa does score, he'll go full Akinbiy and rip his shirt off in celebration.
ARTY_FOX Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 If hamer is in on credit then jakupovic must really give 0 ****s in training
TrentFox Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 TBF, Hamer has looked shakey all night. Jak must be awful ????

The Doctor Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Good work and vision from Musa to get in behind and set that up.
sk3since03 Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 I've come to the conclusion that Ben Hamer is garbage
StriderHiryu Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Good play Musa. First poor piece of play by Slimani all night.
Clever Fox Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Hamer paid the price for not protecting his near post.
