Presumably as part of the same U17 squad as Ndidi and Nacho in 2013, he would have taken the same MRI test as them (the one Ndidi failed) and passed it. He claimed to be 14 then, but at most he would have been 17 in 2013 therefore 21 now which is still fine.
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 Seems like Chelsea were dead impressed with him (April 2017): English Premier League champions Chelsea have parted company with attacking midfielder Habib Makanjuola. The status of the former Nigeria U17 international at the Stamford Bridge outfit had been covered in mist, but a Chelsea youth-team expert has revealed that he has not been offered a new contract.''Yeah, he was with the club as a schoolboy, won some skills competition in Nigeria. Didn't get a scholarship,'' Chelsea Youth tweeted.''Last I heard he was with a local youth club in Birmingham.''Makanjuola was part of the Golden Eaglets squad at the 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, and played their first group match against Mexico.

Hitesh Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 This is like one of those signings you made on Football Manager to sign a player of the same nationality just to keep your other player happy and settled. Just in this case we're brining the whole Nigerian team in...

lgfualol Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 How weird. We already have a 30+ year old in the youth team - Dean Hammond.

I mean, it was already an issue with previous host countries, even at night (I can think of Gabun, for instance). Then add humidity and wet weather to the equation, and it's getting close to a nightmare.

In the capital it will be between 18-25c, the rains also fall off a bit then too. It will be humid though!! Douala 20-27c, lots of rains, very very humid. It wouldn't be too bad, but then again my expectations are different!!!

So, not good enough for Birmingham or Charlton then.........but still good enough for a FOUR year deal at Leicester???? I believe last yth player we signed from Chelsea on a multi-year deal (19 y/o Faik Bolkiah in 2016) doesnt even make the bench for our U23s so perhaps Chelsea are slightly better judges of players than we are...? Good job we've got loads of money these days as some people seem determined to waste it on their "fishing with dynamite" experiment at Yth level!
