Man U 2 - Leices 0 Post match thread.

Very disappointed being honest with that. We deserved what we got. As I said in the match thread, too much respect paid to the opposition, played about 5 metres too deep and invited them onto us.

Some poor individual performances too today. Ndidi had his worst game for us, though a three in midfield would have helped him. But the first goal was largely his fault by being stranded nowhere. Albrighton was non existent.Maguire and Kasper our best performers.

If the sole ambition is to defend and hope you hang on, that leaves a bad taste for me. Needed to set up better.

Shakespeare has got it wrong today, Vardy was ineffective but you can't bring Slimani on and take off your best crosser of the ball in Albrighton, Gray produced very little. I will say Man Utd have a decent side this year that will pick up points that they would have dropped over previous years. Onwards and upwards!

Knifes out for gray, what did Albrighton create?

What did people expect from an away game against what'll probably be the champions this season? We really weren't that bad, Jesus wept.

I listened to the game on the radio defensively seemed good but again set-piece undid us who was marking rashford, up until that goal I thought we could have got a draw.

Gray has shown today where his best position is for us - the bench.

Two of our hardest fixtures done, please don't mention the table yet, not many others have had two away games against the "big 6" yet. With Drinky and Iborra we might have had more options and when you compare the wage bills (not that ours is small anymore) it's a brave effort. If Gray put as much care into passing the ball as does in keeping it Mahrez would have been in on goal. Ndidi far less involved than usual but the formations meant for most of the game it was 2 v 3 in there. More concerned about what Pogba was saying to Mahrez at the end. "Are you getting away then" or words to that effect (in French) hopefully not "I'll give you a lift to training".

Put it into perspective we were playing ,I think Champions-elect away from home, but it is grating when 2 lapses of concentration cost you goals .

Not only that but champions elect in sht hot form.

Jeeez, some proper moaners on here! Decent game, our performance was pretty good imo. I reckon Utd will go unbeaten at home this season. Tbh, it was a game where we could have got a point, if the gods wanted to smile on us. Fellanis goal was offside. It's soooo difficult to execute our particular style and game plan against Utd. They're too powerful to hold out for 90mins.

Didn't expect anything so not that upset.

Just wish we had players capable of keeping the ball for more than 10 seconds. Do we not practice passing under pressure in training?

Iborra was bought in for that so I hope him and drinky can do so

Expectations have changed at our club since we won the league so defeat at Man Utd feels worse than used to.

Overall our midfield was not quite good enough so we kept losing the ball and putting ourselves under pressure.

We want to compete against the very best so we're disappointed but what I saw was a good team against an even better team, who were at home and full of confidence. We are looking like a top 6 side but not a title winning side.

Been observing Matty James last 3 games. His positioning is not best at times and you can see Ndidi struggles with him. I'm not saying Matty is a bad player. But we definitely need Drinkwater in. James is sub at best

Gray needs to go, he isn't ready for this level yet.  Sure he can go by people and that's a rare commodity as we all know but his final product is.. let's just say he could use a few years honing his craft, he's still a young chap right?

Oh really? And who should take his place if I may ask? Musa?

2-0 against the most expensive team ever to start a PL game.

Gray did more when he came on than Albrighton did, for all those slagging him off. Yes he should have passed to Riyad earlier but his ball to King was excellent and should have been a goal.

Drinkwater might not even be a Leicester player for the next game. Hopefully Iborra knows what to do. Currently our CB is our best passer after Mahrez.

Tactically it was an improvement on Arsenal.  Thought we kept our shape well after the substitutions.

Undone by a set piece and the second was offside.

Morgan and Maguire were great at the back.  Some wasteful positions going forward though and some poor decision making by James in the middle at times.

For all the jokes we have at the clubs expense re transfers, Harry Maguire is one unbelievable signing.

Some people need a huge reality check, all I would suggest is look at United's last 2 games, they've torn opposition in half, struggled to do that today for a good 70 minutes until a lapse in concentration led to a goal. Much better performance than last years, these games are free hits, not games we should be expecting to be winning.

And as for someone above claiming we're the worst in the league for using the ball, i gather you haven't seen Watford, Palace, Newcastle, West Ham, Burnley. much worse teams than us.

CALM DOWN FOLKS!!!!

They'd scored 4 goals in their last 2 games, top internationals in every position , at home. They deserved respect.

Was literally a walk in the park for them..

Exactly. Wasn't expecting anything but Utd literally strolled around, men vs boys.

Poor CS   I think that he was and is an assistant to manager

For CS the EPL table begin from 8-20 so Leicester will drop 21x 2 = 42 points

He will be sacked much earlier than ranieri

Leicester needs better

I m down and I m losing it

Even though Albrighton didn't produce, Gray was one selfish cnt that wasted what he should have produced...

Well... to feel better, at least we didn't gave away 4 goals... thanks to Schmeichel and the CBs

Firstly, United are a very good team, they'll go close this year.

However, we sat 10 yards too deep and invited them on to us.

We were undone by a set piece, but that last sub was shocking.

Albrighton has already gone off, he'd be the main supply to Slimani.

Everyone said Vardy did nothing, but he had no service. We were 1 down at that point, James for Slimani would have made sense and Vardy could look for scraps from flick ons.

Although the scoreline wasn't humiliating, the performance was.

We got lucky that it wasn't a few more, and I'm a huge fan of Gray, but that ball to Mahrez at 0-0 was criminal.

Shakespeare is very naive tactically, I don't see a finish better than 10th.

We won the league 18 months ago, now we're managed by a number two and a League 1 manager.

I didn't expect us to win today, but that was dreadful.

If you don't agree, fine, a forum is all about opinions, but tell me why I'm wrong without giving me shit for it.
