IF we have let Drinkwater and Mendy go, without being 100% sure that Silva could be registered to play, this could be one almighty fook up. Amartey is shite in midfield. James blows like a fookin train. Iborra..I have no idea, King is a upper Championship standard player and Ndidi is a kid who needs to be playing alongside quality to develop. Added to that, we have Mahrez who did just about everything he could to get out. That don't bode well to me.
Micky Posted 5 September 2017 Posted 5 September 2017 John PercyVerified account @JPercyTelegraph Adrien Silva #lcfc update. Fifa yet to accept registration, club say they are "working to overcome some issues & trying to find resolution"

We're good at taking our time, I know. Robins said he was surprised by how long it took us to complete the George Thomas deal, so maybe it's not only fans who see this. But if the deal has fallen through, the problem could run deeper than the efficiency of a single department. When you sell a key player and look to replace him, you make sure the replacement is lined up. If you're in the position of doing both on the same day, the incoming player and his fee should really be prioritised ahead of the outgoing player. A club ambitious enough to prioritise short-term on-field success over short-term financial gain would, you'd imagine, do this. It'd worry me if we routinely did these things the other way round, because it would say a lot about the way the club is being run, and where the priorities lie. Of course, the problem could yet be fixed. Or it might turn out that we did prioritise Silva, and did nothing wrong whatsoever, in spite of the late registration. And we'll look as daft for rushing to conclusions as those who were celebrating Silva's arrival before the verdict was delivered. No ones responsible for him, he's a director
KFS Posted 5 September 2017 Posted 5 September 2017 Oh fvck off. Going to support a non- league club!

biggs Posted 5 September 2017 Posted 5 September 2017 I think the panic is a bit early even for foxestalk....wait it out a bit until we here from LCFC
Ricey Posted 5 September 2017 Posted 5 September 2017 "Trying to find a resolution" doesn't sound very promising. Pretty confirms we did miss the deadline.

If that's true then we need to change our formation, there are plenty of teams with worse midfields than us anyway. Frustrating to say the least though.
Corky Posted 5 September 2017 Posted 5 September 2017 So we're in a situation where we've effectively lost a key player and can't replace him until January. Superb work.
Rasmic123 Posted 5 September 2017 Posted 5 September 2017 I wonder what someone like John Percy has to say about this...
lcfcsnow Posted 5 September 2017 Posted 5 September 2017 He's been waiting to sign for us for over a year and still missed the deadline, couldn't make it up

ZeGuy Posted 5 September 2017 Posted 5 September 2017 Still hope they can appeal or whatever, but that's a tough one. With our luck, as soon as we can play Silva, we'll see Mahrez on his way out.
