Since the title we have lost a lot of worldly experienced staff and our directer of football isn't that savvy. May have the T shirt but has hardly been there and done and it shows.

Don't know why people are still slating FIFA.

You miss a deadline you miss a deadline - We didn't just miss the deadline however we missed the extended deadline after being given an extension so you know we've already had our leeway and still messed it up.

Its about time the owners got a bit more ruthless behind the scenes because there are people that are not up to the task and its now going to cost the club millions.

You can't slag Rudkin off mate he's like the second coming of Jesus to some the way they defend him.

The silence from the club is mostly like on legal advice. Particularly if it ends up with CAS.

Says a lot that we are being very quiet yet West Ham are having difficulties with the same club (albeit very different circumstances) and are being very vocal.

Its starting to look like we don't have much to stand on and the club are saving themselves from further embarrassment.

Surely any deal involving a foreign player would depend on gaining international clearance, so we try to get FIFA to accept the paperwork was submitted  before the deadline and he's our  player or he remains a Sporting player which would be better for all parties and we learn a massive lesson, never to go to the wire again. Sky Sports deadline day will be a damp squib now surely no one will want to replicate this fcuk up.

Why do people keep going on about ammartey and king here are our central midfield options in (probably) order.

1. Ndidi

2. James

3. Iborra

4. King

5. Amartey

People trying to be over the top negative about the situation who's our 5th choice winger? Or 5th choice striker?

You could argue we are actually better off than last year. We were playing with Ndidi and an injured and out of form Drinky. We now have James and Iborra to fill that second position next to Wilf.

Turn that list upside down. Amartey is a way better player than DD ever was. I'd stick Amartey and Gray in Midefield. Ndidi is awful, James is awful

That's probably because David Sullivan is a Cockney barrow boy and likes to spout his mouth off in the media.

I prefer our more measured approach to things although ultimately we could well still fail to get this deal approved.

Yes, of course he is. Don't pretend to know the bloke or what part he's played in any of the behind the scenes machinations over the last few years. Certainly don't have a clue as to how culpable he was for Silva's transfer not going through. I imagine I'm very similar to you in that respect, although in my case my ignorance leads me to do what I believe to be the decent thing i.e. keep my fvcking trap shut about it

lol you don't get it, do you?

There are still 2 days before the Chelsea game, you gotta find a way to pass the time.

The simple fact is that there's a standard transfer deadline, and anything submitted after that time is against the current transfer regulations and won't be processed.

Despite the 14-second occurrence, the PL and FIFA can't bend the time-deadline rules to allow Silva to be able to take part now - no matter how very short in time the submission was.

Move on and ensure it doesn't happen again.

You are kidding? Using West Ham as some kind of ethical voice in football is laughable. The same owners released a story at the weekend to turn fans anger away from them and towards the manager.

West Ham are the club who yesterday released confidential e-mails of their transfer bids. The fact they bid and negotiated for a player via e-mail was laughable.

Its more as in the essence once it becomes legal all lawyers are pretty much the same in what they advise you can and can't do. The fact West Hams lawyers are letting them spout all this off means pretty much they have a strong case.

When a lawyer advises you to keep completely quiet it means you're struggling and waiting on someone else to slip up.

If only it was that simple. It's been stated that LCFC submitted the paperwork in time but the FA are saying they received it after the deadline.

We don't know what length the elapsed time was but it exposes a flaw in the system as LCFC have no control over how long electronic data takes.

What if they'd submitted it hours before and it still arrived late? Surely the process should be based on the submission time which if it's electronic means it will be time stamped at the time of submission.

Strongly disagree, we fight through every means of appeal possible, we owe it to the player to do that, if we have to pay a fine so be it, although  the rumoured 30% of transfer fee is extortionate. We also try to force FIFAs hand to relax the rules where it is a matter of seconds, or set a precednet which fines you for late transfers within a tolerance. It is unacceptable that a player will lose out on 4 months of football because of an admin error, seemingly not the fault of the club, that lead to a delay of 14 seconds.
