mozartfox Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 No chance with the current Recruitment brigade in place.
urban.spaceman Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 There’s Adrien Silva Late and then there’s this. Window closed a month ago!
lgfualol Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 He should stay away. He'll come in and go backwards in development.

AjcW Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 We've blown it with young England players. Said it in another thread, the young age groups these days for England are an incredibly close knit bunch... as soon as Gray and Chilwell share their frustrations no one will want to come here. Everyone will want to choose Spurs, Southampton etc etc even West Brom / West Ham are starting to give youngsters a chance, and Conte at Chelsea has at least two on the bench most weekends...

Ironically out of the England Under 21s squad, Gray has played the 2nd most minutes over the past year for his club.
chicagofox Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 For the sake of the lads career development he should not join us.
Grebfromgrebland Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 Don't come here if you value your career!

les-tah Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 I can only assume he will 100% replace Harry Maguire? Because he will never replace Morgan

In many ways though he should have, the U21 side is quite inexperienced at the minute as they've just been through a tournament so a new cycle starts. And we're seeing a trend now where people skip age groups entirely and get called up to the senior squad because they are playing for their clubs (Pickford, Rashford, Winks, Alli etc)
fazzyfox Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 If he comes here then he's had his chips, he won't get a chance, not a sausage. Even if we Egg him on he'll be panned and there's not mushroom in the squad anyway. From Boro to us, out of the pan into the fire as the saying goes.

TheLittleBigMan Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Maybe obscene capitalism has something to do with the lack of opportunity's for youth player's?
