Gearoid Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Was offered the gig when Sven left, if they liked him then they will like him now. Word over here is he will take the gig this time if it's offered. Loved him as a player, not convinced of him as a manager. However he ticks a lot of boxes. Big Name Sergeant major type PL experience The type to sort out the dressing room Who know but it could well be a runner.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 NO. Next thread.... Pardew - Can he be a success here?
Izzet is God Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 No - crap manager and absolute w***er. Don’t want the man anywhere near the club.
Guest MattP Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Absolute tosser and a crap manager. I'd rather have Martin Allen back than him.
STUHILL Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 He is a nutter! Don't want him anywhere near this club. Works OK with a "good cop" aka MON, otherwise not for me! I agree with some others who suggest our players don't actually need a kick-up the arse effort wise. I also don't see a problem in the dressing room. Plenty of hard work going on and team spirit is good etc. We need someone with some tactical nous and can get our best players on the pitch and in a system that gets the best out of them. He is a bully/enforcer that we do not require!
fox_favourite Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Roy Keane is one of the worst managers. He's too up himself to be a man manager, he's too aggressive in the way he comes across and is not very good tactically. So that is a big fat no!!
ClaphamFox Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 His whole mad-as-a-bicycle, dog-walking Captain Haddock shtick might be bearable if he was actually a good manager. But he isn't.
norwichfox Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Sh1t person and a worse manager, a big no from me.
lifted*fox Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Honestly can't believe people would even consider Roy Keane lol. Should be embarrassed for even considering it.
funkyrobot Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Please lock this and the Coleman thread. Keeping them open is bad karma and could result in the appointment of either of them. If there’s a Pardew one, lock that too and throw away the fkin key.

Insane logic. 14 minutes ago, Gearoid said: Word over here is he will take the gig this time if it's offered. Over where? Of course he'll take it. It'd be a massive opportunity for him. 14 minutes ago, Gearoid said: Loved him as a player, not convinced of him as a manager. Not convinced? That puts it mildly. 14 minutes ago, Gearoid said: However he ticks a lot of boxes. Such as? 14 minutes ago, Gearoid said: Big Name Former big name. 14 minutes ago, Gearoid said: Sergeant major type Is that what we need? 14 minutes ago, Gearoid said: PL experience Shite PL experience. 14 minutes ago, Gearoid said: The type to sort out the dressing room What does that mean? I don't think the dressing room needs sorting. 14 minutes ago, Gearoid said: Who know but it could well be a runner. I would eat my hat if his name has even been mentioned in board meetings.
kyleolly Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 I met him at Alton towers once he was really nice so it’s a yes from me
Tuna Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Is this a parallel version of foxestalk? Roy Keane? I'm aghast at the suggestion.
lifted*fox Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 and if you started the thread or have considered any of coleman, pardew or keane as a decent option then do the following: 1. take a slow walk to the bathroom 2. run the tap 3. splash your face with cold water 4. take a long, hard look in the mirror in front of you 5. have a word with yourself
