Never doubted his ability to finish but I think we need a bit more from him, to say Man City were able to carry him a bit is harsh but they had a midfield which could feed him the chances.
dannythefox Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 So much better when going down/around the middle area he’s no good out wide. That should do him the world of good.

Just kind of looked the same but took his chance, so fair play I thought he showed much more desire, fell on his arse at one point and jumped up and sprinted into the box desperate to get there. Sometimes, previously he's just thumped the ground in frustration and thought about himself rather than the team situation. Very happy to see that come from him and he showed it several times as well. The ball also seemed to stick a bit closer to him than it had been doing. 10
Ric Flair Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 I think both he and Slimani have their strengths and weaknesses and both look unorthodox at times. He does look a natural finisher which makes him a very handy player to have in the squad, we need to use him right. I do agree any notion of him playing number 10 seems pointless as he's not good enough at the highest level there surely?
TheHitman™ Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 He works better in a possession side that creates chances. You play passes to his feet he will take the chances and score. Also the more he plays the more he will improve. 1

Looked much better after scoring. Hopefully he pushes on from here. Agree with this. A classic fox in the box who you literally have to put the ball on a plate for. But fair play he’s clinical.
Nick Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 Two players for every position and he can be our spare 9, no problem if he puts the hard yards in. 1
Devonfox1884 Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 Okazaki behind Nacho against Peterborough for me. 4
Dead fox Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 The guy can finish, everything else can be worked and improved upon to be fair. 4

I agree about his role at Man City. He has some incredible skills with his first touch being on display tonight. And Man City could work around his lesser developed talents with a pitch and a bench full of the world's best footballers. I get the feeling it'll take Puel a season or two to develop him into a well rounded footballer and a footballer who fits well with our systems. Edited 16 January 2018 by Foxxed 1
Lesta2014 Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 3 good finishes although one was disallowed he didn't know that at the time. Looks a natural finisher, Feed him on the floor he scores, feed slimani in the air he scores. Simples 1
Popular Post car1os Posted 16 January 2018 Popular Post Posted 16 January 2018 It’s very simple. We have three good lead strikers, just need to adapt our game for their strengths. On the floor for Nacho, in the air for Slim, over the top for Vardy. Good to have options! 6

Simples I may break a few hearts here when I say that Vardy wouldn't have finished those two opportunities. Puel is persevering because he see's a natural finisher in Cheesy Nacho but not so much in Vardy. The first half was crying out for Vardy because no-one knew what to do around the 18-yard box. I'm with the other poster. Claude see's Nacho as the Vardy successor!
Reg Vardy Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 Okazaki is exactly what we need against Peterborough. I would be amazed if he doesn’t start. Maguire, Iborra, Vardy, Albrighton, N’Didi close behind....
Heymister2015 Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 So basically Shakespeare signings were decent. Dragovic hasn't had a bad game at CB! Silva looks class and just needs more mins, iheanacho showed what he's about and only at 21, Maguire is class and they all love playing on the floor 1
Quorndon_Fox Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 Shifted his arse around the pitch a bit more tonight, took both well. Long way to go however to be a 20 goal a season striker in the Premier League, for £25m I’d expect him to look half decent against a League 1 side.
Jimmy Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 Huge confidence boost for him, pleased for the lad
Pete Campbell Posted 17 January 2018 Posted 17 January 2018 Good option to have but will have to bide his time behind Vardy. Agree with those who say they can't play together.
glebe_sydneyfox Posted 17 January 2018 Posted 17 January 2018 Happy to see him score a couple. Here's hoping he takes the opportunities that will come his way over the next few months and build on that performance.

sk3since03 Posted 17 January 2018 Posted 17 January 2018 Lovely finish for the 2nd goal last night Needs to be starting alot more

The only way he starts is as the furthest player forward , and that position is Vardy’s.
