foxinsocks Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 He looks a good appiintment Why did he leave southampton? Jump or pushed?

Babylon Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Looks a bit of a shit appointment on the face of it... but he'll probably do very well.

1969 Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 He may well prove to be be an unmitigated disaster but ...last season he took a club not too different to us in size and stature to 8th in the premier league and to a cup final which by my reckoning is a better season than all but 2 of our previous managers have given us since 1970?

Bazly Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Good choice. He should bring some defensive steel and tactical ability to move beyond the 67 minute substitution mentality.

Almost my double pre-dieting (and I don't have sticky out ears). Tempted to head to the ground tonight and blag it, might get a free croissant and be fawned over whilst my French holds out. Le Girafe est derriere le Lit. Le Chimpanzee est sur le Table. Le Chat est devant la douche. What a weird syllabus that was, those phrases have really enhanced my adult life. He looks a happy chap!!!

dedlock Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Like many posters I am a little underwhelmed. We have a new manager, let’s see how tactically adept he is. Onwards and upwards.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Hope it goes well. Good managerial record, wasn't rated at Southampton but his style might be different here.
Hammo Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 I guess I speak for many when I say that I find it difficult to get excited about this appointment - mainly because of his dull football and even duller interviews at Southampton - but that, like any Leicester manager, he deserves and will get my full backing. At least he speaks the same language as Mahrez and Slimani. And he got the best out of Mendy at Nice (and Hatem Ben Arfa, which no one else has). Allez Claude! Allez Les Bleus!
FoxyPalace.com Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Claude needs support here. lets give him everything he needs to succeed. Welcome Mr Puel
Swarles Barkley Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 My only saving grace as to why im not disappointed is relying on the fact that southampton had a rubbish attack and therefore they had to set up defensively ill happily give him 9-10 games to bed in
Dames Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Very underwhelming another safety first appointment. The reason why Ranieri and CS failed was because they adopted a negative defensive attitude and from all accounts thats what this fella did at Southhampton. I hope i’m wrong because we have some great attacking players and its a shame they haven’t been unleashed on teams to their full potential.

On the basis of most saints fans not being impressed and him losing his job despite reaching a final and his teams having many shocking seasons in terms of goals. Who do I expect? I'm not paid hundreds of thousands and don't have a team of analysts to actually look around world football for an up and coming manager doing the business at all the clubs they are at. But if I was and if I did I could probably come up with someone better than a bloke sacked by Southampton for playing god awful boring football. He'll get time, a few things stand out as positive. But once again it stinks of a lack of planning and knowledge.

Loves2spooge Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 To be honest folks , it's not like our football has been that great don't let this two last games blind you , a couple weeks earlier we witnessed some major players being dropped due to poor performance
fatboytim Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 I'm definitely in the minority on here - probably cos I know a lot less about football than most but I'm quite happy with this. As I was when Ranieri was appointed. Even if he plays defensive football, as long as he gets rid of aimlessly hoofing the ball all the time whilst winning football matches - even if it is 1-0 every match - then I'm happy. I'd much rather watch us win 1-0 than watch us lose 5-3.
