smr Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Thank ****, I said on my fb status last night he'd be announced today. In all seriousness I hope he has a lot of success with us. Welcome Claude.

foxile5 Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Uninspired, I'm afraid. We are reaping what we hath sown - no big name manager will be eager to join us for a while now. We are no longer an attractive proposition.
EnglishOxide Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 I'm not ecstatic but **** it. He deserves time and does have some pedigree.
Izzy Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Leicester City Vice Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said: “When we began the process of identifying a new manager, the Board quickly established the profile of candidate we needed to take the Club forward and Claude Puel was a perfect fit. “Upon meeting Claude, his attention to detail, knowledge of our squad, understanding of our potential and his vision to help us realise it were extremely impressive. He quickly emerged as the outstanding candidate and I am delighted we will have the opportunity to reinforce our long-term vision, aided significantly by his expertise.”

Leicesterpool Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Disappointing and surprised to be honest, I actually was expecting this one to be just paper talk. So fan choice Dyche was considered not good enough?
Finn Claw II Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 He has a good track record, experience if it wasn't for the couple of years at Southampton we'd be reasonably pleased. Surely he's more tactically astute than Shakespeare.
StriderHiryu Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Personally I find it a totally underwhelming appointment. But he's here now and I'll get behind him for the start of a new era. I was fearing the worst with Ranieri and he proved to be an inspired choice. I think he will have to hit the ground running though. A few defeats and he will be under pressure. I'll say one thing though, he clearly wanted the job and that to me is a good thing. Good luck Claude, we want you to succeed because we want Leicester to do well. COYB!!!
trabuch Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Talk Spite aren't impressed. Say the media will be negative about the appointment. Bring it on! Claude Puel...really?
southfox66 Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Given that we won the premier title sorry but this has to be the worse appointment we ever made maybe after Frank Mclintock.
Rogstanley Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Intriguing. Those judging him on his time at Southampton alone aren’t really doing him justice. Could very well turn out to be an excellent appointment. Welcome Claudy boy Really blows the whole “the owners only want a big name” thing out of the water as well
Strokes Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Wouldnt have been my first choice in an ideal world but more importantly was far from the worst candidate touted. G'won claude, see if you can match the heights of the last continental manager
Molson Canadian Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Why is this the first thing that came to my mind when Claude Puel was official announced? "As far as i'm concerned the only thing the french should be allowed to host, is an invasion"
smr Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Remember all the bitching and moaning about Ranieri when he was announced? Now everyone wants him to be their third Grandad... give Puel a chance ffs.
ithuriel Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Gonna give him time, just like all the previous managers. Strangely enough I just have this feeling he will be steady for us.

Leicesterpool Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Feel the same way about this when we appointed Paulo Sousa, nice guy but did nothing inspiring to think he was going to be good enough and look how that finished up. I wish the guy all the best and prefer him to Pardew or Allardyce on anyday but, not convinced. Hope I'm proved wrong!
GaelicFox Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Just now, Strokes said: How much do you want, ill buy it. The joke is he hasn’t got one Strokie
Mendi Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Right watch and sit back, you will see how shocking this guy is. Awful appointment.
LestaAl Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 ..no detailed knowledge of him to comment really,... if he wins us matches he will be our hero otherwise... repeat sack manager
