Sky said that Palace is subject to change depending on EFL Cup participation.

No reason to move it now, but it is SKY, they like to mess around. If Arsenal were drawn against United or Bournemouth then we would have likely faced moving of the match.

i very much doubt it is a fix, far too risky! and if it was they would have put Man CIty at home. If they wanted the big 4 in the semi's they wouldnt risk us playing at home. Man Utd going to Bristol isnt easy either they are very good at home.

I think you might be being a bit naive. It's pretty obvious to me that it is fixed. To me, the two big clubs being away is even more evidence that it is dodgy. Like @foxes_rule1978 said, you don't want to make it look too blatant. What are the odds that four clubs all avoid each other out of only four games? Pretty slim, I think.

They must have wanted to make sure they had as many of the big clubs in the semis as possible. I bet they did the draw over and over again until they got what they wanted, and that's why it wasn't streamed live, and an hour late.

As someone else said, I'm not saying it was rigged, but if I was going to fix it, that's how I'd do it.

Absolutely no chance mate, the FA are under so much pressure at the minute if it ever came out that it was fixed, the fact that two 'celebrities' did the draw as well they wouldnt risk it, you think they are going to trust the likes of Phil Tuffnel to take something like this to their grave? No chance at all.

its just unfortunate but like others say you have to beat the best to win the a cup comp and i would much rather get city in a one off match at home that a two legger (i think its two legs in the semi's) or in the final.

Just seen this from a reporter who was there, what’s the odds of Bristol City v United being drawn out twice in 2 draws coupled with the fact the big 4 left in avoided each other is complete craziness.

and people wonder why others think the draw is suspicious

Man City aren't playing too awfully currently... We are at home, they may play the kids and we'll probably want to win it more though.

Yeah. It's fixed. Deffo. If this had turned out the way they wanted, it wouldn't have been called a rehearsal after the fact.

It's the 'Twitter technicians' thing that sounded really dodgy. I'm not even sure they exist.

What technical difficulties could they possibly have?

I can feel the blood pressure building every time they refer to us as 'Leicester' and them as 'City'. :@

Hope you're right

The tie will be held on Tuesday 19 December with a kick-off time of 7:45pm. It is also one of two games selected to be televised on Sky Sports.

Well happy with that

I don't know how old you are, Wookie, but have a word with yourself :nono:

Possibly a generational thing, I grew up watching Tiatto and Maybury and then Aguero scored that goal whilst we were floundering in the championship so I quite like Man City.

The EFL would like to apologise for a number of third party technical issues that affected coverage of today’s previously advertised Carabao Cup Round Five live draw at Twitter HQ.

The EFL has received an apology from Twitter UK for the delay which is believed to have occurred as a result of a faulty encoder.

The EFL has requested a full explanation into the events that led to this afternoon’s unacceptable delay.

Twitter has also apologised to supporters via their UK Twitter account.

A Twitter spokesman said: "We're sorry for the issues that led to the delay of today's Round Five draw. We would also like to apologise to the thousands of supporters who had been patiently awaiting news of who their team would be playing.”

The draw had been scheduled to go live at 4pm UK time but in the end the draw was pre-recorded and published to @Carabao_Cup Twitter channel at 5.45pm.

The ties drawn are as follows and will be played week commencing 18th December.

Carabao Cup Round Five draw:

Chelsea v AFC Bournemouth
Arsenal v West Ham United
Leicester City v Manchester City
Bristol City v Manchester United

I'm currently in the States, and ESPN3 had every game...It is insane it's not the same in the UK.

So if you think its fixed, come up with a good conspiracy theory. Then as a group, try to tickle the feathers of some decent journalist from a daily paper,

have them discuss it on Sunday supplement....

Go out and buy a few beers, for a couple of these twitter technicians to tell the "real truth."

Push it around on the EFL management forum....

Some slimey bar steward, will be more than ready to spill the beans...

I bet "tuffers", would be a good target,to let something slip,

he was always dropping something  in the past...
