Carry On Cup QF - Man City at Home

Recommended Posts

It'll be typical Leicester that we go on and win this cup in the year it will be remembered for a shit sponsor, controversy, dodgy balls and rigged draws..

Not unhappy to get Man City at home but Carabao have done well to ensure that the 'big 3 and Arsenal' were kept separate. If this is their intention they hould have done it like the 'tennis seedings' before round 1 as was done in 1999-2000 when the top 4 (Man u, Arsenal, Leeds, Chelsea) were all supposed to get to the semis.

Why is everyone afraid ? Do you want to win the cup or just get to the finals? If we beat Man City now we might have a chance to win the whole thing..

I'm gonna wear my lucky LCFC jumper on Thursday during the draw. It got us to the CL quarterfinals... Bristol CIty here we come! Trust me on this.

Fuchssake I think I'll have to rest the lucky jumper now. Unless of course we manage to get past them. They were struggling against Wolverhampton and only won that one on penos

Fourth on the list of priorites for them. Wolves took them to pens in the last round. We can win.

If you get Man City at home you'll beat their "2nd string". They can count themselves lucky to get through last night.

They had loads of possession (64%) and plenty of half chances, but only created one really good chance for Aguero which you could say he should have probably scored from.

Their fans moaned that we "parked the bus" which we didn't. We were just pinned back in our own half by their possession and the high pressing game they played to win the ball back off us quickly. But we soaked it all up by being organised in defence, and we ultimate had the best chances of the match and should have beaten them in normal time. Three clear one-on-ones with Bravo that we managed to fluff and really should have scored from.

Their back line was frequently near the half way line or just behind, which we used to great effect to hit them with our pace on the break. We had a 19 year old lad up front (Enobakhare) who either tore Otamendi a new one a couple of times with pace or brushed him off with a bit of strength. Based on that I think you should play Vardy and Slimani up front.

You'll need to defend resolutely, throw your bodies on the line and hope they don't have their clinical finishing boots on, which they didn't against us. Then hit them on the break against their high line. They are definitely beatable. Especially since you're at home as well. Pep will play a similar team as he did against us, because he just isn't ultimately that bothered about the competition. They'll be in Europe no matter what so he won't really care about winning it or not.

Nacho hat-trick.

Knowing us Rudkin he probably had a clause inserted into his contract saying 'if we play Man City in any cup competiton Nacho will be ineligible'.

Biggest farce of a draw I've seen. Well, not seen, shall we say.

I actually do think this is quite suspicious. Don't forget the third round too, not broadcast anywhere, supposedly done in China. There's not a jot of evidence it actually took place.

And conveniently the biggest club gets the smallest, the four big clubs avoid each other.

What a shambles it all is.

I've heard a lot about how you should have won this game and City were lucky, and no doubt you gave a great account of yourselves, but based on those highlights of those chances a 2-2 or 3-3 draw in normal time would have been fair if not a MC win. Aguero had 2 big chances he'd rarely miss. City had quite a few chances to win in extra time.

Will be a big morale booster though, not that you need it as I fully expect you to romp to the Champ title

Other than the one he put wide from 12 yards early on, our keeper saved any other chances, including the one he messed up straight back out to him.

I did say they didn't have their clinical boots on...

Why do so many people think this is a fix? Swear some people claim everything that goes against us these days is a fix or a conspiracy. 'kinell.
