The ultimate footballing bastard. I love the bloke. He has an incredible knack for winding up opposition fans and then sticking it to them, perfect example last night.

I think the intelligence in his game has really grown over the last couple of years, he's a much more rounded player now which is suiting us. He left absolutely everything on the pitch last night.

Is it just me, or does he seem to have lost a yard of his pace?

Well Slim looked like he was running with weights tied to his boots, so I wouldn't say so no looked sharp as ever first half, second half tailed off a bit but its to be expected when your running your bollox off all game

I think he’s way overrated. The league has figured him out and he has become less effective as a result, we need to start phasing him out before it’s too late.

Every attacking player we’ve bought in the last couple yrs has flopped simply because the team is designed to work for Vardy.  I don’t see us doing anything except avoiding relegation until we change the system or get players that complement the young players.

Pls don’t get me wrong. I think Vardy is a legend but my comments  were intended to be about the future, paticulay the next 2yrs.

We attempted a reload after winning the PL but the only players that worked out are Ndidi,Maguire and Iborra. No new attacking player has added much  in 2yrs. Even Iheanacho who once has the highest minute per goal ratio in Europe is looking like a league 2 striker.  New need a new direction.

What's a reload?

The timing of that goal last night genuinely had me in stitches for about 10 minutes... Spurs fans sing abuse, we follow up with “Jamie Vardy he’s won more than YYEEEAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” and to see him sprinting straight over to the spurs fans was a thing of beauty.

I've found him frustrating this season, he's still producing of course, but he's been in some fantastic positions this season, whether to score himself or lay someone else in and he's fluffed the opportunity more than he has done for a few years now. Blokes an absolute legend though!

So the fact that Slim is not fast, means that Vardy is still as fast as he was a few seasons ago? o.O

Our American friend although batshit regarding him being overrated is right about our lack of success in partnering him or rotating: we've plunged nearly fifty million into partners who looked amazing initially but failed to succeed, with only a striker turned attacking midfielder ever gaining any real traction, and Vardy's in his 30s. The day his legs look a bit slower, the day his reactions less sharp, will be the day some serious worries about our attacking style and if we have the attacker or attackers for it. Only Ranieri managed to change our style to suit another striker and that hardly ended well.

I think he might have lost half a yard (bear in mind he was absolutely rapid 2/3 years ago) but his movement is making up for it. Far more intelligent footballer than he gets credit for, the finish for the goal prime example.

One of my favourite all-time Leicester City players.

I'm pleased to say I always stuck by him too. Even my posts on here reflect my potential in him.

As good, or even better than Lineker imo.

There's not another forward like him around with his pace and excellent awareness and technique.

Could go as far as believing that he's one of the best buys of the decade/ever since £££ came into the game.

No comparison. Both legends, leave it at that.

Even closing to the twilight of his career, he still has that sharp fitness condition and produces moments of world-class utter brilliance, a definitive legend of City, period.

Dare i say he wouldn't pale in Real/Barca's bench ? yes, absolutely.

According to whoscored, vardy averages 1.6 shots per premier league game while Harry Kane averages 6. Only 3 goals separate them. Imagine if vardy played in a team with as much possession as Tottenham

Absolute class for me and a real worker. Interesting stat I saw pop up when I was watching this, fastest speeds last night were:

Vardy - 33.8 km/h

Albrighton - 33.4 km/h

Interesting to see how fast Marc is and how Vardy wasnt much quicker.

If Kane or De Bruyne or someone like that scored that goal last night the media would of wanked themselves into cum oblivion last night.

I never thought their was much of a media bias, but over the last few years (especially after we won the title) I've noticed it more and more.

The reports I read today are more about Tottenham failings and their disappearing title hopes than our performance and victory.

i kinda agree with shen, even though i think mahrez has a pretty good shout for a couple of reasons.

1- consistency, both leicester and riyad are inconsistent, the year the team won the league, riyad was the best player in the league, the next year when he creminaly underpreformed, the team fought religation. (even though there are other reasons)

2- this season, riyad's providing assists or goals = points, vardy put himself on the scoring sheet in 6 games, but the team only managed to get 7 points out of those games (granted, the oposition teams were really good). while riyad managed to score in 3 games and assist in another 4. with the team managing to win 14 points. the team avrages 2 points per game when mahrez scores or assists

in the end of the day, it's about the one more committed for the long run and the one with more sustainable attribute, and that's vardy

Vardy has definitely lost a bit of pace since this time two years ago, he used to go past people for fun but it seems a lot harder for him now.

Media bias toward Tottenham has been ever since I read match reports in the 1950's
