Well, he was back on the bench last night and I think he may have come on had it not been for Amartey getting a red. Lots of people writing him off, and lots of people love him. To be honest, he’s a good player, and I hope he’ll stay. He looked happy on the touch line last night, and has an affinity for Mahrez and Silva. I think he’ll play against Fleetwood and maybe kick on. Truth is, he’s behind Shinji at the moment in terms of strikers, and maybe on par with Nacho (not saying much). I’d keep him for now

It's all about the price.

Up to £16m - We keep him

£16m to £20m - We think about it

£20m+ - we sell

Agree, think it will be one of the first two, not sure we will get many 20m+ offers

It's hard to say, I'll think he'll have plenty of suitors but not many will be willing to pay our asking fee seems as he's 30 this summer.

In a January transfer window you never know though, most teams like the big strong forward who is good in the air and can score goals and has a nasty streak. There will be a lot of managers in the PL who will like Slimani a lot and more importantly there won't be many strikers better than him who are available this window. Someone might just be desperate enough to bite the bullet and pay the asking price.

Ok, I'm not a fan, everyone knows that but all that to one side, genuine question - What makes people think we can command £20m+?

We had our pants down, everyone knows that, he's not been playing for us - although people keep banging on about him being our best goalscorer, games to goal ratio, e.t.c whilst its true and fact it's largely irrelevent, simple fact of the matter he isn't playing, he's rarely making the bench - clubs are gonna use that to drive his price down.

I know we're not gonna get much - bout £10m (Which is about his true value i'd say), maybe and it's a massive maybe £15m - If we get that we'll have done mightly well, but I just don't see why anyone would pay £20m+, no-one is gonna pay that.

Clubs are desperate in January. We got offered 9m for Ulloa last January ffs. Ulloa's goalscoring stats are a lot worse, not to mention he's older than Slim.

No chance we get as low as 10m for him. I can definitely see clubs offering 20. True values dont matter anymore, Neymar's transfer took care of that. Newcastle will see value in 20m for someone that could keep them up. I think he would bang them in.

But recently Ulloa's been selected in squads and played over Slimani.

I get the point you're making at that time Ulloa wasn't getting a sniff here, but likewise Slimani isn't now.

Listen i'm playing devil's advocate, talking him down, but i'm also trying to look from a buyers point of view, from the outside looking in, we can all see Leicester have had their pants down - are buying clubs gonna make the same mistake/gamble despite how desperate they are, we were desperate which is why we ended up with our pants down and find ourselves in this position, despite the goalscoring stats they will be questioning why Leicester aren't playing him - Even more so in spite of his goalscoring stats - there must be underlying reason atleast that would be questioned, rightly or wrongly there are questions over a rumoured attitude/bad apple.

Too late I say, when nomatter what you do seems nothing for some ungrat fans here, it's better to move on.

I think we will easily get £20-£25 mil, his goals record per 90 is excellent.

1-7 goals and 4 assists in the league last season! not too bad for a guy new to the league, was injured and played in the afcon.

best goal and assist ratio per-90 minutes for our strikers.

and here are "a couple of decent moments":

Slimani had 8 goals and 5 assists in the league and CL, and only 2 of the goals did not lead to points (the header vs WBA and the goal vs everton)

8 of his 8 goals were even an equalizer(3 vs WBA, everton and boro) or a game winner (2 goals. a 1-0 victory against Porto and west ham + the opining goals vs stoke, sunderland and Burnley)

Slimani opened the score for the team with 5 of his 8 goals (vs Porto, west ham, everton, Burnley and stoke)  edit:  actually, make that 6 out of 8, just remembered the sunderland goal

and to talk about his assists, 3 of them led to us opining the score (1 in the CL to mahrez, 1 vs man city to vardy and 1 vs palace to musa) while another one was to make it 2-0 vs man city (king's goal)

2-the goal against liverpool? the assist for mahrez in the league coming off thee bench?

you don't rate him/like him, fair enough! but don't go around talking like he didn't do anything good for the club.

we don't need him and i hope he goes to a good team in the league and run riot. he has 15-20 goals in him and he will prove it.

Those are incredibly average stats. And since we’re rarely blowing teams out of the water, most of our goals will be equalizers or game-winners.

If sold it will be announced as an undisclosed fee, so I doubt we'll get to know officially.

For the team who play the right way I can see £20M+ coming in. He just doesn't fit with our side, we don't play in any way that suits him. Imagine him at Palace or West Brom, he'd be sorted.

Loaning him out would be shite business.

Why’s that then? If he goes to say Newcastle, who are no threat to our league position. Performs really well n chips in with between 5-10 goals in the second half of the season. His price tag will go up a lot more than what it is now!

Don’t get me wrong it’s a gamble as he might do utter s*ite. But it’s not shit business.

Wouldn't be surprised if Swansea had a bit of interest in him.

Carvalhal having contacts in Portugal, considering Slimani would know a few (including possibly his agent etc) from his time playing in the country.

I hope I never have to see this fraud in a Leicester shirt again. 5 involvements today and completely ****ed 4 of them. Complete waste of time and money

What? He didn't mess 4 of them, and had way more than 5 involvements... Troll alert I can see.

Yeah by some miracle he apparently attempted 9 passes. Still a complete fraud.

Brother just take a chill pill. He came in and almost instantly Leicester conceded, then he didn't get any service. What did you expect him to do?

Be able to complete a 2 yard pass.

He did, failed 2 or 3 passes but many players did so he isn't the one to blame.

I'm not blaming him but it doesn't change the fact he is absolutely horseshit. I blame Puel for ever thinking it was good idea to bring him on in the first place.
