He was right though.

We could have got £9m from Sunderland a year a go but we kept him here against everyone's best interests and he's hardly played since.

Never sell to a team you're in a relegation battle with.

Had a superb first season with us back in the PL. One of the reasons we were able to stay up.

Saw his opportunities limited after that but a deserved league champion. Crazy memories vs West Ham and Norwich.

Still brings chills thinking had his blocked shot vs Atletico gone in...what might have happened that second leg :ermm:

Wish him luck nevertheless, Brighton will take care of him

I wish him nothing but success against every team in the league, except us.

He won’t be playing against us as it’s a loan deal.

Good old Leo. Sad to see him as really he's been a big part of our 'story' and made a huge impact when he came in our first year back in the PL.

Still, he's nowhere near the standard we require now. Good signing at the time no doubt and leaves with a lot of love from LCFC!

Never worth £8M back then and his valuation, unfortunately, has not improved since.

The goals he scored to keep us in the Premier league were worth far more than £8M!  Yes, we've since moved beyond him, but he can't be blamed for that, even if it did cause a couple of problems last season.  Here's hoping he has a good time at Brighton...

forget that. norwich and west ham helped us win the league and get hundreds of millions in tv money.

good luck to him

how much do you think the owners would have paid then, for 2 goals against Man U in the 5/3, shown all over the world at prime time, or the winner against Norwich, and equaliser against West Ham in the last minute?

I dare say just these contributions were worth many times the £8m to the King Power brand

I think Ulloa has been worth a damn sight more to this club than 8 million quid.

If you compare him to Slimani at 30m, Mendy at lots of millions and Musa at 16m, Ulloa has been the bargain of the century.

If Ulloa is so great as some of you seem to think why didn't he command a regular place in the side. Citing selective goals does not reveal the whole picture. As for Slimani & Musa we all know we paid well over the odds for these two chumps as their eventual price tags when they move on will confirm.

Incidentally, the "bargain of the century", without doubt, is Harry Maguire.

I think Mahrez and Vardy blow him out of the water as "bargains of the century'..............

And what has he done since? If he was that brilliant he'd be commanding a fee of £35/40M now.

You can quote all the stats you like and make them say what you want but at the end of the day successive Leicester City managers don't see a future for him at Leicester.

That may be the case now, but to pretend he's always been crap is ridiculous.

I've never said he's always been crap. He wasn't worth £8M and his valuation hasn't increased irrespective as to what he has done.

You may think he is an idol but in reality he's just one of many players who has come and who will go and not lived up to an inflated price tag.

We've just paid £1 million for a 17 year old who's never played a first team game. £8 million compared to the money he's earned us is peanuts.

Some monkey thinking going on here I think.
