What a pleasure that second half was. The Spaniard, the portuguese and the japanese passing the ball between them at will.

Hope that's a sign of things to come.

Silva in particular just looked class the more the game went on. One of those players that looks like they’ve got all the time in the world on the ball

Radio 5 saying that the Iborra VAR penalty shout was clearly a foul... still work to be done on VAR perhaps.

I agree. It looked an utter foul on Iborra.

With incidents like that, it relies on opinion unfortunately and can never be 100%. It is good for the game though, and will help cut out a lot of clear errors, our second goal would never have been given

Though we were comfortable in the end i’m not sure some of the individuals did themselves many favours, especially in the first half.

Iheanacho looked very poor apart from his goals, so it doesn’t really change my opinion that he’s a finisher and nothing else.

Slimani was predictably better with a strike partner and did some good things but equally looked a donkey at times with some terrible first touches.

Iborra seems to get worse with every game, he was utterly abysmal until Fleetwood got tired in the 2nd half. He won’t get any time at all in a Premiership game and the best thing he can do under pressure is pass it backwards.

Likewise the two centre backs struggled to compose themselves in the first half and Benalouane’s passing in particular was typically erratic.

Silva on the other hand was out standout performer.

As for VAR, people can say it works but tonight just highlights what a half measure it is. Whilst one incorrect decision was reversed, a clear penalty was ignored which in other matches might have been pivotal.

Dire match to watch until the opener, a much better, more accomplished squad on the pitch couldn't manage to penetrate the Fleetwood defense and it felt a bit like Groundhog Day all over. The guests played really well, defended to the teeth and had two great chances to take the lead.

Benalouane proved again what a madman he is - stupid tackle for the yellow, and then could've been sent off later on.

Iheanacho's first goal came at the right moment, also thanks to a bit of genius from Slimani.

I was a bit surprised to see Slimani having to make way for Albrighton, because Slimani looked like he was finally getting into the game.

A nice gesture of Puel to allow Vardy face his old team also.

In the end, we kept a clean sheet (the fourth in a row now), made history with the first VAR goal given, we've advanced to the next round and given fringe players another chance to present themselves and Silva gained more match practice on his way into our regular starting XI. Very happy with that.

Here's to a long-lasting FA Cup adventure and a slight rise up the Premier League table this campaign!

Professional performance. Poop in the first and good without being amazing in the second.

Three big positives for me:

- Nacho comes alive! Great finishing and could have had 3. After his goal he was so much more confident. Much more what I was hoping to see from him when he signed him.

- Silva. Really like his style of play! Always buzzing round the ball and is almost always there as an option for the man on the ball. With the way Puel has us playing he could be just what we need. A classic number 8 who helps the team move the ball back to front whilst retaining control of the game.

- Giving the armband to Mahrez and Vardy. A small gesture but clever management. We all know how key these two are to us. It’s got to make them feel good.

Jakupovic, Gray and Dragovic all had good games. Limited opposition but this style of domination over the course of an entire game is what the best teams do. With Puel we are moving in the right direction and a strong team shows we want a crack at the cup!

Nacho much better, play to his strengths and he will bag goals, silva looked a class above tonight, got such quick feet and releases the ball quickly, looks like he's gonna be a massive player for us, also I felt dragovic looked solid, excellent passer of the ball and always looks assured, hopefully we can keep him on here,  thoroughly enjoyed that second half

It must be tough for Kelechi.

He'll get two today and will know he won't start on Saturday, so can't build on this or keep up the momentum.

Slimani needs selling on imo.

How dare he assist the first goal !! Get rid!

We’re not a two striker side, you saw how much better we played with a switch to 4-2-3-1. I’ve hardly ripped him to shreds, he just doesn’t suit us and should be allowed to leave.

It's not that. I don't understand why Puel brought in the best crosser of the team, and took out the best header of the team. It doesn't make sense.

This only makes sense if Puel decided to try out Nacho as the main striker, which we can see works out well. So I suppose it was for the best.

After this performance, Slimani is 3rd in the pecking order of strikers.

In a way, the boredraw the other week has been helpful.

Iheanacho getting 2 goals is great for his confidence, Jak made some great saves, more time for Amartey and Dragovic to settle at the back, Silva game time, etc.

Happy with that.
